Self-Training, Lightsaber Form I: The Way of the Sarlacc (Shii-cho)

Moira was sitting in her room. She seemed rather bored and her mind was starting to wander to things it used to. Machines. She knew that [member="Corvus Raaf"] was busy in a lesson with the younglings, so she wouldn't push to be trained and take away from their learning. Moira rose from her perch and made her way out, and to the library with her Ryyk blade on her hip. It wasn't lightsaberproof like her Tremor sword, but it would do for practicing the mechanics behind the first Form: Shii-Cho. She was able to check out a holocron that would instruct her on the motions of the form, and booted feet lightly padded out to the courtyard, and over to the training grounds. She activated the holocron and watched it a couple times, making sure to try and remember each stroke and motion of the basic form. Once done, she activated it, moved back, and stances herself in a low guard stance that looked fairly offensive.

A few seconds later, she was practicing the motions, making broad, powerful strikes. Her form was sloppy. After a few hour of training, she had the form down, but had more raw power versus the grace in the form. She took a break and sat on the ground, gazing at the sky and enjoying the cool breeze that flowed through her hair. She eventually found herself waking from a nap with rain battering down on her face. It's a good thing holocrons were waterproof. She got up and ran back to the academy, meditated at the entrance, then to the library and returned the holocron. She then rushed back to her room, and changed into warm, dry robes. She looked a bit proud of herself, but knew she had a long way to go before she could have true confidence.

When the time comes to train in the Form with her, she hoped to impress Master Raaf.

An hour and a half later, she was already bathed, in dry robes, fed, and back to training, this time using her tremor sword. She moved with broad strokes once again, focusing as if there were many enemies at her front. She imagined dark jedi coming after her to kill her just as they did her best friend. There was much anger in her, but it was anger for not being strong enough to save her. She wouldn't let that happen again. The strikes seemed to strike keen. She had finished training. When she was ready she went to [member="Corvus Raaf"], and asked her to test her skills. "Master, will you test my ability with Shii-Cho?"
