OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: A self-expanding corporate executive and administrative tower designed for gradual economic infiltration and territorial annexation by the Trade Federation of Planets.
  • Image Source: Deviantart - Tower
  • Canon Link: Not Applicable.
  • Permissions: Not Applicable.
  • Primary Source: Self-Constructing Armament Facility
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: The Trade Federation |:| 900 ABY
  • Affiliation: The Trade Federation |:| 900 ABY
  • Market Status: Closed-Market
  • Model: TF-902 Self-Constructing Executive Tower Block
  • Modularity: Limited Modification Program Installed ( Floors and wings can be reconfigured for different corporate functions, executive offices, administration, retail, housing, light industry, or data centers as the structure expands )
  • Production: Mass-Produced
  • Material: Durasteel primary superstructure with reinforced composites and transparisteel facades. Heavily incorporates locally harvested resources stone, metals, and recycled materials during expansion for faster growth and lower visibility.
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Autonomous Self-Construction: The tower harvests local materials and uses advanced molecular assembly and droid labor to continuously expand upward and outward with minimal external input.
  • Corporate Integration Hubs: Modular floors dedicated to executive suites, conference centers, banking halls, trade offices, and employee housing.
  • Employment Generation Nodes: Sections designed to create visible local jobs in construction, administration, logistics, retail, and maintenance.
  • Resource Assimilation System: Scans, extracts, and processes surrounding raw materials to fuel rapid vertical and lateral growth.
  • Branding & Presence Projection: Exterior holographic emitters and lighting display Trade Federation branding that grows more prominent as the tower expands.
STRENGTHS
  • Rapid Physical & Economic Footprint: A single seed unit can grow into a massive, highly visible corporate headquarters within months, establishing a permanent "we were here first" presence.
  • Self-Sustaining Expansion: Requires very little ongoing supply from off-world, allowing deployment in remote or underdeveloped regions while pulling in local resources and labor.
  • Political & Social Leverage: Creates thousands of local jobs and economic dependencies, making planetary governments hesitant to oppose or remove the structure.
  • Scalable Corporate Command: Serves as a fully functional regional headquarters with growing administrative capacity, data archives, and negotiation facilities.
WEAKNESSES
  • Power Core Dependency: The central fusion core requires massive stable energy output during rapid growth phases; power fluctuations or targeted strikes on the core can halt construction or cause partial structural collapse.
  • Material Quality Variance: Heavy reliance on locally sourced materials means structural integrity varies, poor local ores or contaminated feedstock can create weak points, micro-fractures, or reduced resistance to heavy weaponry and seismic activity.
  • Thermal & Emissions Signature: Rapid fabrication generates significant heat and particle emissions that are difficult to mask, making the tower easy to detect via orbital or aerial sensors during active expansion.
DESCRIPTION

Designed between 900–902 ABY by the The Trade Federation |:| 900 ABY, the Self-Constructing Executive Tower Block is a refined evolution of older Separatist self-replicating factory technology. Instead of focusing on armament production, this variant was purpose-built for corporate colonization.

The strategy is simple but effective: deploy a relatively small seed pod disguised as standard cargo, allow it to take root, and watch it transform into a towering symbol of Federation power and prosperity. The process begins with a compact foundation unit that rapidly assembles the first few levels using onboard fabricators and construction droids.

From there, the tower enters its growth phase, continuously printing new floors, expansive wings, landing platforms, and support structures by consuming local rock, ore, scrap, and other materials. Sleek durasteel and transparisteel exteriors give it the polished, imposing look of a galactic corporate headquarters, complete with executive penthouses, conference atriums, banking floors, and employee residential blocks.

To the public, the Tower is presented as a generous investment bringing jobs, infrastructure, and opportunity to the region. As it grows, it hires increasing numbers of locals for construction, maintenance, administration, and service roles.

This creates genuine economic ties and a visible, ever-expanding corporate presence that bolsters legal arguments of prior development and investment. Over time, secondary branch towers can sprout from the main structure, spreading the Federation's influence across the planet like roots.
