Covered in scales and having sharp claws at the end of her feet and hands- as well as a fair bit of spikes on her head -Sek is like many Trandoshans in her appearance. Dark green scales and orange eyes are possibly the two most easily noticed parts of her appearance, lacking hair being another. Unlike those lucky enough to live life without the need to hunt for food or work more than 24 hours in grueling conditions, Sek has adapted to the lifestyle of being consistently physically active in order to survive, making her body seem more so closer to any typical athletic individual. Most fat distribution is put into the lower body, making her pear shaped in figure/bottom heavy.
Her typical apparel is a brown form fitting jacket which has arm pouches, a hood and front pockets. Around her legs are baggy pants, kept up by a belt with a few pouches for carrying blaster power packs in. Around her calves are bandages, wrapped in a fashion similar to WW1 puttees, minus the boots, Sek- like many Trandoshans -walks barefoot.
PERSONALITY:
Many across the galaxy associate the Trandoshans with being hostile, aggressive, consistently violent and persistent killers. Sek is all that, with a tad bit more intrigue in peaceful discussion than consistent hostility. Hypocritical in plenty of ways, Sek can be an enigma at times, not out of any deliberate attempt at being mysterious, but more so because she simply does what pleases her, which can vary depending on environment, people, emotions, etc...However, if there is anything consistent about her, it'd be in the collection of jagannath points and credits, which she'll always return to doing no matter how long it's been since her last mercenary contract or murder.
Aside from Dosh, Sek can also speak fluent Galactic Basic Standard despite a regular hiss here and there.
BIOGRAPHY:
To be born a Trandoshan is to be born a hunter, something which Sek and her siblings had to try and embody as soon as they were hatched, numerous in number thanks to the fertility of their mother. Grueling combat to most people, the day to day violence was became a familiarity, a chore, and even a ritual. The hunt was the only thing to live for as the numerous siblings competed in an attempt to outdo each other as time went on. Relations by blood or family name were irrelevant- whoever could achieve the most when it came to the hunt were awarded, not the kind or passive, but the aggressive and predatory. Sek was one of the best among her family, neck-and-neck with one of her brothers who was just as capable, the two separating from each other entirely as competition drove them apart, despite having to be within the same space or home.
Over time (and such a short time it was thanks to the short lifespans and thus, quick aging process of the Trandoshans) the competition between the two would become outright physical assault, stealing, manipulation of others and much more. Figuring all this intense energy could be used on other things than irrelevant infighting, a local group of Trandoshans who were close friends of Sek's father had promised the two competing siblings a undeniable opportunity to prove themselves; raiding Kashyyyk. To hunt down the Wookies and collect pelts would be not only a worthy hunt, but a chance to garner points for the Scorekeeper, to ensure themselves a promising afterlife. Begrudgingly accepting to work together on the same team, the siblings would join the small raiding group in their upcoming hunt.
To fight other bipedal creatures, not wildlife, but actual sentient beings- ones with great physical strength -was a learning experience. There was no fear nor doubt, only the willingness to prove as the raiding party fought tooth and claw against a small group of Wookies who put up a fair fight despite not being armed. With their sudden ambush and numbers, the Trandoshans were able to swiftly overpower their prey, but not without casualties- aside from the one or two dead, Sek's sibling had both his legs broken from one of the Wookie defenders. With another wave of natives approaching to see what all the noise was, staying and fighting would be a suicidal effort, thus the Trandoshan raiders would gather what they could and hightail it back to their ship. In their rush they had not bothered to collect the dead, or wounded, to which Sek was well aware of, watching her brother in silence as he pleaded for help.
His pleas would get more desperate as she'd turn around and walk away, leaving him behind. In his final desperate plea, the words uttered had hit deep- "Do you lack such honor to save one of your own!?" a word forgotten after all this time spent competing. At this point it was too late, she'd turn around, seeing the Wookies appear from the bushes and quickly investigate the battle, swift to incite their judgement on the remaining Trandoshan. To this day she'd struggle to remember which was more horrifying at the time, realizing the fact the two had completely usurped their own culture of honor in an attempt to outdo each other, or the pained screams of a sibling as they left this life?
As Sek returned to the ship she'd tell the raiding party of what happened, as they could easily tell something was wrong and were quick to ask. Listening to the story it became hard to come to a conclusion, on one hand it was seen that her brother was weak and incapable for being so easily wounded, thus he deserved death. On the other hand, the fact that competition and hatred had gone so deep that she'd purposefully leave her own brother to die made Sek an...questionable individual to keep around. So, instead of bringing her back to Trandosha and facing whatever judgement or praise she'd receive there, the ship would instead make a detour.
Leaving her to whatever civilized planet was nearest, Sek was left to make out her own life, allowing herself to be in exile from her own home. Onward she'd do plenty to build up her own talents, as well as getting a DLT-19 for the well paying work of being a gun-for-hire. What'd happen after all this, in a galaxy involved in so much war, romance, politics, exploration, fear and hope? Sek, like remembering her past, wouldn't care- credits were to made and there was prey to kill. Better get to it.
