Seeking Closure

The cold air illustrated her breath as Paige stepped down from the shuttle. She was informed that Chazwa was a cold planet, that was a severe understatement. Paige was not dressed for this kind of weather. Her hair long brunette hair did not provide warmth to her face or ears as it was braided. She was wearing a form fitting vest and a white tank top. Her blue eyes gazed a head as she took in her new environment. This planet was known for it's traffic of good and materials. The constant flow of trade and commerce to this planet led many smugglers to gravitate to Chazwa. Paige was in desperate need of finding a good smuggler to sneak her on to Alderan. Although this planet was not under sith control, there were two sith that had personal ties to her family that lived close to her old home. Paige needed to find a way to get home undetected to pay her respects to her sister Shea.

The wind whipped through the streets, it dropped the temperature down at least fifteen degrees. Paige needed to find a place to get warm and hopefully meet some people. She walked down the street and noticed all of the vendors trying to pawn off stolen goods. The deals were too good to be true and their were too many smugglers around to think that the people of Chazwa were looking to help out their fellow man. A sign illuminated two blocks away. "Cantina" These were not her types of places, she was a Jedi in training and was suppose to avoid temptation and gambling. Paige knew that this was the best place to find her a smuggler. Cantina's on other planets were known for entertaining off world smugglers, so why should Chazwa's cantinas be any different.

Opening the front door, she shivered as the warm air engulfed her cold body. Paige looked around for a good candidate. She was not one hundred percent sure what she was looking for, only that she needed help getting to Alderan. Paige strolled through the cantina, looking for a friendly face.

Thalia was sitting at the bar in nothing but a crop top and jeans having a drink when the girl walked into the bar who like her was probably not dressed for the weather so that sparking her interest she looks at the girl and signals her to come over.

Paige glanced around the bar as she noticed a girl wave her over. Paige realized that she must stick out like a sore thumb and proceeded to the stranger. She had black and blue hair and appeared to be tall though she was sitting down. It appeared that she also did not know how to dress for the cold. Paige pulled out a stool and sat next to her, unaware of the reason she was being signaled over, she simply ordered a cup of tea hoping to take the chill out of her bones.. She turned to face the girl as she waited to hear what she had to say.

"Hey not from around here Ey?" She asks studying the newcomer. She had been pretty much everywhere in the outer rim but this was her first time here so she didn't know how cold it would be.

"Is it that obvious? I'm Paige, can you help me out?" Paige paid for her tea and than gave this new comer her undivided attention. Looking at her unique blue eyes she continued to talk. "Actually maybe you know someone, I am looking for a smuggler to get me to Alderan. I was hoping to find one here but I am not from Chazwa and have never really had to locate a smuggler before. Paige's honesty poured out as she felt she did not have time to beat around the bush. When she was done speaking she took a sip of her tea, it was tart but it was hot. The cantina was not significantly warmer, but he offer of warm beverages the fact there was no wind chill inside Paige was happy non the less. As for as her first trips to new worlds this was definitely an interesting pit stop.

Paige had boarded a shuttle nearby to the Jedi academy she was studying at. She did not have her own ship, she needed to get further in training before she would acquire one. She placed the mug down carefully as she listened eagerly to her reply. If there was a chance someone on this planet would help her than she needed to risk it, because her sister is worth it.

Thalia quickly jumps up and runs out back to where her ship was sitting and followed the shuttle to the jedi academy and jumps out catching the girl
"I can help you. Find your sister that is."

Relief flooded through Paige as she heard Thalia speak. A way to get to Alderan, finally, she could pay her respects. She followed Thalia to her ship, it was a small freighter, about 25/30 meters in length. It did not appear to be to be heavily armored. This must be the kind of ships that smugglers use. This whole experience was new to Paige as she approached Thalia's ship, tracing her hand on the outside of it.

"This is your ship? It is amazing, you don't know how happy I am that you are helping me out." Paige's sincerity could be heard in her voice. She shivered as now the excitement of finding a smuggler had worn off and the reality that they were on Chazwa sunk in. "I am ready to leave now if you are,"Paige was hoping the ship had a heater.

"I am."
She says looking at the girl in front of her. She then spun around 180 degrees and walked onto her ship the Kyozist. The cabin was a nice 72 degrees just like she liked it. She lead the way giving a tour of the ship that ended with the cockpit.

"And here is the cockpit."

She says looking back at the girl and sitting down.

Paige's head tilted back as she observed all of the instruments in the cock pit. So much was responsible in allowing flight. This was all over Paige's understanding. Thank goodness that she found herself a pilot who was willing to help. Buttons decorated the walls similar to lights on a Christmas tree. There was a second chair next to the pilots chair that she assumed was reserved for the co-pilot.

"Do you have a co-pilot?" Paige asked innocently as she sat in the chair besides Thalia. The chair was comfortable and had arm rests that made her feel a bit short. "it's ok that I sat here right?" Paige glanced over, as she observed Thalia preparing for take off.

"I do not have one and yes you may sit there."
Thalia said running through her preflight checklist of checking all the gages and pressures. She hits a switch and then looks back to paige as the ship lifts off the ground. "Is this better than out there?"

[member="Paige"]

"Of course!" Paige smiled as she was oddly having fun. Originally Paige had pictured smugglers like aliens that were large and obnoxious, that were all mean and took advantage of people. Thalia however was the opposite of all the things she assumed smugglers to be. She made her smile, which she hadn't done in a long time. This was the first time she was in a personal freighter.

"Incredible." she whispered, the view of the sky was amazing. "You must love the freedom of being able to fly all over the galaxy."

Paige bent her leg and tucked the heel of her foot underneath her opposite knee. One foot hanging off the chair as she observed her ever moving environment.

"Yeah it's great but I wish I had a co-pilot to accompany me but there is no one who will do it." She said with longing for someone to keep her company. She smiled at Paige and then turned back making sure her gages were good

Paige smiled imagining a life where she could simple fly around with a few close friends and do whatever she felt like. Picturing a perfect time she imagined her new friend, herself and her sister flying around the galaxy. Slight sorrow entered her mind as she realized that he fantasy could not be a reality. Her sister Shea was killed by the one she loved most, a man who chose power with the sith over their love. Now Paige was on her way to her home planet to hopefully pay her respects to Shea. Her sister was the one who pushed her to be an amazing Jedi, and now it was a path she could not allow herself to waiver from.

"Well you seem like a great person, I am sure you will find your co-pilot soon enough." Paige replied, as the momentary fantasy of being a smuggler faded from her thoughts. "How long do you think it will take to get to Alderan?" Paige asked. She had only ever been on two shuttles in her whole life, so she didn't have a concept of speed and time that it would take a ship to travel to another planet.

"Um maybe three days." Thalia says thankful for the compliment but she tries to brush it off and sets the autopilot for Alderaan . "I have to warn you there are pirates out in the universe and some of them want this ship." Thalia says spinning around to face Paige "So what do you wanna do now?"

A three day adventure to Alderan was in the works. Paige had never really had free time to do with as she pleased. Growing up she always had to work on studies and chores, and upon entering the Jedi academy she had been purely focused on her studies. Paige actually had no idea how to entertain herself with out something to study. Paige realized she had a memory of her and her sister playing card games for fun. They were not gambling games, they were simple games taught to children to keep them busy.

"Do you have cards? Maybe we could play a game?" Paige was hopeful her new friend would not find this suggestion childish.

Playing cards while painting nails was the definition of a girls night. Paige had her left food up on her chair so she could paint her toe nails. The game was fun and gave them a chance to have fun for a little while.

"Where are you from Thalia?" The conversations were progressing through their personal lives. "Do you have any siblings?" These questions were Paige's way of getting to know Thalia better.

"Oh I'm sorry." The answer allowed her reality to sink back in as she realized she no longer had siblings either. Paige attempted to stay distracted. She hoped that this would be a little break from her reality. The rest of the trip, until they arrived at Alderan, Paige tried to say happy and content. The trip flew by way to fast soon two days had past and they only had one day left until she reached her old home. Paige wondered around the ship, she explored the ship, she found it so fascinating. Maybe one day she would have ship of her own. Paige had woken up early today and decided to head back towards the sleeping quarters and see if Thalia was awake yet. They had been inseparable since this adventure began to unfold.

"Hey are you awake?"
