Dreidi had looked around Mandalore when she first arrived. It was not often that she had visited the home world for the Mandalorian warriors. There was some nerves within Dreidi as she was not sure in her abilities to attempt to convince the leader of the Mandalorians to offer his aid in rescuing her mother. She was merely one witch and her mother was not part of the empire and was not someone of important to the Mandalorians. But it meant everything to Dreidi and she was hoping that she could convince him that it would also be of great benefit to the Empire to be able to land a blow to Carnifex. Demonstrate the man who previously committed a genocide to your people was not some all powerful god but a man with flaws and could bleed. That had to appeal somewhat, Dreidi hoped at least.

She shifted from her position and fiddled with her wraps around her hands. Dreidi thought about the meeting she had with Vytal, it had turned out far more beneficial than she thought it would be initially, and Dreidi was thankful for the support from her sister witch in that. She was also thrilled that this meeting had been organised as well, it demonstrated that Dreidi placed her faith in the witches was far better than attempting to place faith in the Jedi. Dreidi doubted that the Jedi council would hear Jax out, or if he would even have the nerve to make the important calls for help that were needed in facing Carnifex and rescuing her mother from his clutches.

Standing, she walked towards Vytal and Aether, giving a respectful bow to the Mand'alor as she looked to both of them. "I am thankful for this meeting, Mand'alor. And I am thankful to you, Sister Vytal for ensuring this meeting could take place." Dreidi offered a respectful smile to her fellow witch. There was so much that she was going to owe the other Dathomiri witch. Unsure how Dreidi could ever repay the debts being made in rescuing her mother.

"Carnifex has kidnapped my heavily pregnant mother, I have learned that he is keeping her on Commenor. I was hoping we could discuss rescuing my mother, she means a great deal to me, I would be forever grateful to you both for this and I would appreciate any support you can offer Mand'alor." There was hope in her golden eyes, but also concern, time felt against her on this since she wanted to be rescuing her mother as soon as possible but Dreidi knew that gathering forces and organising a proper mission to hit Carnifex with as much strength as possible, it felt important in order to ensure the success in rescuing Jairdain.

Swallowing hard, Dreidi hoped that Aether would be open to helping her out and coordinating a quick, strong attack. Dreidi only knew the planet where Jairdain was held recently but what the prison would be defensively, Dreidi had no real idea.

As Vytal had said, she had approached Aether regarding Dreidi's request. And as she'd said, all the Warden of Dathomir could do was put the request before him -- to give Dreidi an opportunity to speak. Nothing more. What she committed to on behalf of the Witches and what Aether was willing to commit on behalf of the entire Empire were different matters.

She'd kept the details short for Aether's consideration. Dreidi would make a more powerful plea than Vytal, so she saved the substance for their encounter: Dreidi sought to petition the Mand'alor for assistance rescuing her mother for Darth Carnifex. Perhaps he'd like to know more. Perhaps the passion of the plea would matter. Ultimately, it boiled down to securing a woman's release from a Sith Lord's grasp.

Vytal didn't proclaim to understand the politics of Sith. Did they even have a proper system for any assessments to matter? Did they even have genuine allies to worry about? Thankfully, their kind were kept at far enough distance her Sisters needn't worry about such things. Normally.

At Dreidi's statement of gratitude, the Pale Witch only inclined her head with a ghost of a smile on black lips.

COURT OF IRON, MANDALORE

Well...this was quite the request.

When the Witch arrived to the Court of Iron, the Mand'alor was seated before her. His throne was the center of the hall: a space where statues of every previous Sole Ruler looked down upon the present. It was as if his predecessors were watching every decision he made. Weighing if his actions were worthy of the mantle which weighed upon his shoulders. From behind his helm, Aether watched as Dreidi rendered a polite bow.

He offered a nod in response, then listened.

The plea was one that Aether the Man could empathize with. If someone held his mother captive, he would be at his wits end. And he wouldn't stop burning the Galaxy until she was freed. He could only imagine the feelings broiling within the Witch. But the Man was not Sole Ruler. Aether had to weigh his decision against the lives under his command. What would be the ramifications of lending aide? What would be the ramifications of turning her away?

Aether was quiet for a moment before his gaze fell to Vytal. "I must first thank Warden Noctura for arranging this meeting." he began. "You have my sympathies for your mother's capture. What you ask, however, could very well result in war between Mandalore and Jutrand."

Though his words were simple, the gravity behind them was not.

"Thus, I must know everything. Who is your mother? Is she a citizen of the Empire? How did she come to be captured and why? Spare no details, please."

Dreidi studied the Mandalorian leader, there was an atmosphere of compassion but layered with the duties to a larger number of people. Dreidi wasn't sure what Aether was thinking exactly but the slight understanding of some compassion was a relief. Some might have remained cold, distant to the plea and that would have made it harder for Dreidi to feel comfortable in sharing what could be needed in changing the minds of the leader. Since she hoped that more information from her would lead him to want to help.

"My mother holds no ties to the Mandalorians, nor to Dathomir, her name is Jairdain Ismet-Thio. She is only connected to my home through me and my deceased father's clan. She was assisting the High Republic and their Jedi on a mission. It was on the planet Moorja, independent world but they decided to plant a trap and lure the High Republic to their world for the Sith to strike and kill." Dreidi had gotten some information from Jedi records that she collected before leaving the Order, others were accounts given to her by friends or Jax. "Carnifex was one of the Sith there, and he fought against my mother and her husband. He defeated Jax and captured my mother, who is currently heavily pregnant with my half sibling."

While prisoners during combat were not uncommon, Carnifex taking a pregnant woman, Dreidi feared that was not something considered normal. It was done for experimentation. "He is keeping her on Commenor, which isn't in Sith territory. So, it could be that Carnifex is holding my mother without the Sith Order's knowledge. Wanting to conduct barbaric experiments on his grandchild, something he has attempted to do in the past with the Jedi Noble children." Dreidi had heard all about those events, and it was what she feared was happening within her own family now.

"I understand if you do not wish to endanger the agreement with Jutrand. But I have to hope that the Sith Empress would not condone this imprisonment on my mother. The dangers it could pose to an unborn baby." While Dreidi knew little on Srina Talon and most of the Sith within the Sith Order, Dreidi just couldn't believe they would all be okay with what Carnifex was doing. Otherwise, why keep her mother outside of the Blackwall?

"I will do my best to answer any further questions you have."

The Mand'alor's fingers drummed upon the arm of his throne.

The motion was not one of impatience, but rather of deep consideration. The Jedi-Witch before his gaze painted a picture that only spawned more questions in his mind. The largest question was why Dreidi now stood before him with this concern. Based on what she had shared, a High Republic mission had befallen a Sith ambush and the result was captives - and most likely casualties. Which begged the question...

"Thank you for sharing the finer details." Aether began, "There is a glaring question that I need you to answer. This was a High Republic mission, was it not? Why appeal to Mandalore instead of Naboo? Was it not their people and their operation that was ambushed? Would it not be typical for them to respond accordingly?"

For if the High Republic would allow Darth Carnifex to butcher their operation without reprisal, perhaps the Empire was charging them far too little for their retainer agreement.

Where the glaring question was asked of Dreidi, she smirked and tilted her head to Aether. "I don't trust the Jedi. They are the ones that allowed my mother to be in this situation that endangered her life and her unborn child." Dreidi stated firmly, "they are also ones that tend to be slow to react to situations like this and I believe that quick, aggressive action is needed to be done. I cannot afford to wait around and pray that my stepfather can gather the numbers necessary in attacking Carnifex's prison where my mother is being held."

She looked to Aether, "I am not a Jedi, not anymore. I cannot tolerate their failings, especially when it comes to my family." Dreidi stated firmly, that was another reason that she could not seek the Jedi help. She was not a Jedi, she was not part of the High Republic. "I live within your empire and this situation has impacted me so I seek help from the leader I follow. Not leaders who have failed my family already." Dreidi hoped that the words that she was saying were conveying her stance and the importance that she sought his help, seeing him as a leader she could follow.

"My stepfather is attempting to contact the High Republic and their Jedi for help, but I do not know his progress there. I hold doubts on how quick they would react since, I am sure if any of your citizens or warriors were kidnapped during a mission that you would be organising a rescue effort immediately." Dreidi pointed out, the fact that one had not already been organised by the High Republic held concerns for Dreidi.

Vytal's gaze lay with Dreidi as the woman spoke. She was aware of the circumstances and the concerns before the Mand'alor. Matters she'd not gone at length to burden the other Witch with prior to this moment. Idle speculation accomplished nothing. This was The Moment. A time when she could make her case. When Aether could take it and contemplate his response. What would happen would happen. What would be would be.

That true, the Pale Witch turned to regard the man on his throne. "The Jedi are not afraid to confront a Sith, but they are few in number. Their powers are lessened in the presence of their ideological opposite. Their skills too evenly matched. Weights that invoke hesitation, deliberation, and delay. If my Sister is to secure her Mother's release, she must act swiftly. The Sith do not hesitate, deliberate, or delay."

Perhaps the Jedi would act. Perhaps the Republic would help -- if they could get word to the right person in its hierarchy. Perhaps. In that moment that was neither here nor there. Dreidi sought the help of Dathomir and the Mandalorian Empire. Once the question was answered then they would organize the resources at hand and put to action a rescue.

Mandalore sighed.

The expression was not dismissive, but rather contemplative. Aether could not blame the Witch before him for choosing to seek the Empire's support. The Light was slow. Democracy was even slower. However, the ramifications were potentially staggering. An organized, endorsed assault on one of the Sith Order's most notable figures might - at best - complicate their working relationship.

Or - at worst - cause yet another war between Mandalorian and Sith. This was the outcome that Aether wanted to avoid most of all. His gaze did turn to the Pale Witch, who shared her own perspective regarding the Jedi and their pace. Time was of the essence.

"While I empathize with the capture of your mother, a full-scale raid by the Empire could potentially cause a war. Having only just restored our homeworld, I cannot reignite the same fire which saw Mandalore nearly destroyed. However, I will not leave you bereft. I will authorize you to approach Death Watch, our paramilitary arm, with this mission. Your family will be responsible for compensating the warriors for their services, but they will happily aide in rescuing your mother."

His gaze then moved to Vytal. "Would you be able to muster any local support from Dathomir to aide this cause as well?"

Dreidi nodded her head to Vytal, "she is also heavily pregnant and likely to give birth soon. Carnifex clearly desires that offspring for some nefarious reason. He is not known to simply take Jedi prisoners." She thought it was important to stress this issue, that was part of why Dreidi wished to rush to save her mother but it was also something to consider. That this was something the Dark Lord desired and could impact the entire galaxy negatively if he got what he wanted as well.

Aether's words were not the level of support that Dreidi wished to hear, she was not without understanding though. Carnifex was part of the Sith Order and he could demand that the Sith Order declare the Mandalorians their enemy once again if it was known that Aether organised a full scale attack. Dreidi breathed in deeply, swallowing the disappointment as she knew politics were always going to be an issue. "I understand, who should I approach to discuss the terms with the Death Watch?" Dreidi asked, she had to accept any and all help that could be given, while it was not the level of assistance that Dreidi desired. It was not nothing. Which was currently more than what she was currently assuming the High Republic and their Jedi were providing in rescuing Jairdain.

"I will find the money to afford their hire. I appreciate you not wishing to endanger Mandalore and the people finding home here once again. If word spreads of this mission, of the opportunity to hurt Carnifex's plans and volunteers who to this day continue to hold a burning grudge for revenge seek to aid me. Would you allow that?" While Dreidi was not going to seek such help out, or throw pleas out to every corner of the empire for help. She did wish to know how to handle those who might hear and seek her out. Better to know what to say than accept the help and anger their leader due to her ignorance.

Looking to Vytal, she let her sister answer on the support that would be coming from Dathomir on this mission.
