See The Marble, Date The Marble, Be The Marble

Naboo

Josh did not understand the need for a blind date. Josh did not know why he was on a blind date. He couldn't even remember who had set him up on a blind date. Probably Allyson, she'd been slacking on their plans to go to that burger joint and she either felt bad or was trying to get him to take a hint. Or she was just messing with him as Allyson did. Regardless, Josh at least found solace in the location. The Moon Of Naboo was a restaurant he knew well enough, even if he did have some emotional baggage here.

But the food was great. The steak was fantastic.

Deciding to take this whole situation in good humor, the Master Of The Order would stroll in and begin his conquest of this mess in the making by moving to the table listed on the meeting card he had been given. Dressed up in a white collared shirt that had just been properly pressed this morning freshly to prepare and look sharp, the Jedi Master looked around with curious brown eyes.

Of course the last thing he would expect would be to run into someone from his past. Far in his past.

Blind dates.

They were never the thing the woman would have found herself on. Dates were never a real thing for her, in her past they were mostly days on the couch eating ice cream till she couldn’t anymore with her lover. Now a days things were filled with work and dealing with current events on Eshan. A slender hand brushed away stray strands of blonde hair from her face as she left the speeder. Heels touched down on the pavement and she was guided inside by a body guard that never left her side. Tonight though, he would make himself invisible.

Delicate fabric hugged the woman’s shape as she entered the restaurant. Eyes darted around as she examined the room, wondering who her suitor was for the evening. Her mind wrestled with the past, remembering those that had come before the man tonight. Those she had entertained flirtatiously, they were all dangerous people – except Sargon, but he was always a gentle soul. Candy red lips, curled into a smile as she saw the back of the blond man’s head, she could sense him – he was someone she remembered from the past.

Looking over her shoulder, Spencer smiled and nodded. “I’ll be fine, he’s an old acquaintance.” The Echani, frowned and looked at his Matron. Spencer knew that look, it was one Ashin and so many others had given her. “He’s the one that should be worried. Trust me, I’ll be fine.” The guard nodded and gave the woman a slight bow; he disappeared towards the bar mostly to keep an eye on the pair. Spencer wandered towards the table and continued to keep the smile spread across her face.

She was the woman that brought the conqueror of a ten-thousand worlds to her knees and now she was going to enjoy a lovely meal with the Master of the Order.

“[member="Josh DragonsFlame"], small world isn’t it?”

Josh had to ponder if it was someone he knew. Would Allyson set him up with a stranger? He wasn't sure, really. But it was a big galaxy. Odds were it was a stranger. He wondered what they were like? Of course, even with his suspicions... He would never have imagined the one that took the seat at the other end of the table would be who it ended up being.

Spencer Jacobs.

Or well... Queen Spencer Jacobs.

Brown eyes lit up in surprise when she would greet him, and he had to wonder for a moment if this was the blind date or if she had just seen him and decided to approach. But when she sat down, it was very much clear that she was the one that had been assigned to him for this blind date. Assigned to... Maybe he shouldn't word it that way. But he had been in the equivalent to a military for pretty much his entire life, it wasn't easy to associate things like that any other way. He looked her up and down, as if her words didn't entirely convince him that he was sitting across from a Queen. While he knew Spencer from his Republic days, he knew that in the years since she had risen to royalty. A Queen on a blind date just seemed... Strange to him. Not that he was unimportant, but he didn't tend to look at himself as someone of importance unless it was for the sake of safety strategizing for himself and Jason.

She was in the sort of garb one would expect of royalty on a causal endeavor. He'd seen enough royals to know this. No, this was definitely Spencer. Her face, her presence, it was all the same. Even if changed a little... Mind, his had changed a lot. It was almost a surprise that she recognized him. He looked nothing like he once did when they had met last. He had a lot more hair, to start. Even his voice, which she would find out when he spoke, had changed as it'd taken on a far deeper tone and accent. And his presence? Well, his history in the years since and the dramatic changes he'd undergone had turned him into a completely different person. For better, and for worse.

Regardless, he greeted her with a warm smile.

"Small world indeed, where I get to meet royalty. I never got the chance to speak to you at the ball. It is a pleasure to see you again, Your Highness" Josh would respond. "Is it an Echani custom for royalty to go on blind dates?" He would inquire jokingly, a mischievous glint in his eye.

Perhaps he hadn't changed as much as he had thought.
