It had been a few weeks since Kyrie had, well since she had started a fresh life as Kyrie. When she woke up with no idea who she was the only clues were in her surroundings. A small patrol ship, armor, weapons and a bounty puck. It was an easy assumption to guess she was a bounty hunter. So, she studied the puck and took on the bounty. The subject of that bounty was a Devaronian thief. Kyrie had little trouble chasing him down with help of her Psychometry powers that came instinctively. When Kyrie took in the Devaronian she was offered a new bounty. Another thief supposedly, a young woman.
Even with Kyrie's inherent tracking skills finding someone on Nar Shaddaa was difficult. When Kyrie was finally able to catch up to the girl, she found the information from the bounty was all a lie. That was only after roughing up the girl a little bit in the chase. Finding out the truth, Kyrie had let the girl go. Now she needed a new job, and she wanted off Nar Shaddaa.
Daiyu, it turned out didn't alleviate the skin crawling feeling that started on Nar Shaddaa by much. On the plus side, there was work and not all of it required actual hunting. Kyrie found a listing that wanted someone for security. That sounded easy enough. So, she made her way to the designated warehouse at the cargo port. While she left her armor in the ship for now, Kyrie carried her rifle on her shoulder.
Upon arriving at the warehouse, she was escorted into a back office where a shadowy figure sat behind a desk. Kyrie sighed, wondering what sort of lies this one would tell her. What she was really being contracted to do. "Well…what is it I'm supposed to keep secure?"
The man leaned into the light. He was a distinguished but suspect looking Zabrak. Grinning he waved to a chair. "We'll wait for your partner to arrive. Then we can discuss the mission."
Kyrie sighed again. She took the offered seat her rifle now laying across her lap where she could quickly make use of it. She assumed there was personal security in shadows that would be a bit of a threat. It seemed security to this guy meant gun for hire. As much as that didn't appeal to Kyrie, the other part gave a strange rise to her hopes. A partner. That thought hadn't occurred to Kyrie before. Maybe she needed to work with someone else to discover who she was. But, there was no telling what sort of partner this Zabrak had in mind for her.
