Secrets of the Dark Side V [Thresh Sken]

It was the fifth night. The Secreto was on route back to home space, it's destination set for the recently annexed Yalara system. Finishing it's patrol through the Trenwyth system, the Secreto was assigned to patrol Yalara whilst the First Order consolidated it's new territory. Avedia was sat in the same quarters she had been staying in since she had boarded the Star Destroyer at Dosuun four days ago. It had been here that she had met with the individual members of the Knights of Ren, who had been lured to her by the power of the Force. A fifth Ren, by the name of Thresh Sken, had been lured by the same promise of power. Avedia looked forward to meeting him.

The cowl of her robe raised to conceal her face, Avedia had her Lightsaber resting across her lap, as she had done with three out of the five Knights she had met with. Her aim was to intimidate Thresh, by having the weapon ready for use, if needs be. She quietly doubted she would have to use the weapon, but as she had done with the others, the message was clear: do as I say. Eyes closed, Avedia meditated on the Force whilst she waited for Thresh to arrive.

I had just come from the planet of Effekt. During my mission there with my master, I had experienced the immense power that the Dark Side could give to me. I had felt in control, able to execute abilities that I had never done before. But it was all gone now. I thirsted for more of that power, I wanted to feel it and make it mine again. I was hoping that this visit would help me in that endeavor.

My short figure clad in dark grey robes walked quickly yet silently down the corridors of the ship I had boarded. I was here to visit the owner of a Dark Side holocron. And not just any holocron, but Darth Revan's. The renowned and powerful practitioner of the Dark Side, as well as the Light.

I stopped outside of the door I was supposed to enter. Even with my inexperienced methods of sensing things and people beyond myself, I could feel a powerful presence inside, most likely meditating based on the concentration of the Dark Side in the room. I hesitated before I stepped through the door. I knew not why. I was eager to learn, to gain power and bring order to the galaxy, and this was a step to get there... But for some unknown reason I stopped outside of the door.

I touched the vibrodagger hidden in the folds of my cloak. My double-bladed sword was too conspicuous to bring aboard, so I had settled for something a little more stealthy. Granted, I was not the best fighter with daggers. But it would work in a pinch.

Now reassured somewhat, I took a long stride and entered the room.

There was a figure, whose face I could not see behind the cowl of their cloak. I could only assume this was the being whom I had come to see. Strangely, they had a lightsaber laying on their lap. I figured it was a precaution, and a just one at that. There might be many a Dark Sider who would want to be in control of such power as a holocron. But they would have nothing to fear from me.

I glided two more steps into the room, finally committing myself to meeting this being.

Slowly opening her eyes, Avedia lifted her gaze as the soft hum of the turbo doors to her quarters opened. She turned her gaze to the doors, settling it upon the man that had entered her room. This must be him, she thought. As Thresh entered the quarters, Avedia lifted her hands to the cowl of her robe, and lowered it down from her head onto the back of her neck. Laying the hood there, she allowed her hands to drop onto her knees as Thresh came to a stop.

"Welcome, Thresh Sken," Avedia said. "I am Avedia Lacroix." Lifting her dominant left hand upwards, the Sith Lord gestured it towards the plinth, indicating for Thresh to take a look at what was on it. She would let him figure out what to do. Firstly, he would have to remove the sheet. Secondly, he would have to lift the glass orb up from the plinth.
