The Black Wall fell over the Sith Empire, cutting its territories off from the rest of the Galaxy save for a few exceptions, a few entry points that remained tightly controlled and monitored. Many within Sith space sought a means to escape, a way out, those few that could freely pass between took advantage of that fact. Then, there were those few individuals who had no access, they remained on the outside, pulling the strings within. They found other ways, they forged their inroads, all the while remaining on the outside and carefully watching for the next opportunity to expand their hold.
244Core sat in the Unknown Regions, a planet known for its seemingly endless supply of raw materials and resources, provided by meteor storms that remineralized the surface. Even now, nearly a thousand years after its discovery, it retained much of its mineral and material wealth. Those that sought to become rich were smart, they delved into the depths of the planet, burying their operations and protecting them from the periodic meteor storms. The facility was one such construct, buried in the depths of a massive crater, a remnant from a particularly violent storm some hundred years ago. It protected endless tunnels, bored out of the stone and bedrock in the search of minerals that remain locked in the crust of the planet. The facility itself was designed to offset the natural gravity of the planet, making it easier and more comfortable for those within to move about without hindrance.
The individual stood silently at the large clari-crystalline window, reinforced with transparisteel to keep it from shattering; offering a view of the vast complex that spread out in the underground chamber, the remnants of a mining operation that had uncovered and removed a rich vein of Doonium. Their eyes carefully scanned over the various structures, watching the traffic of speeders and rail cars slipping along their preordained paths as they carried about like a colony of Corellian wine-bees. It was almost enough to bring a smile to their lips... almost. Their attention was pulled away momentarily, a soft chiming noise filled the room as the individual removed a small holo-puck from within their robes. The image of a strange woman flickered to life, the words spoken in a hushed tone and met with a similar silence as the individual merely nodded and shut off the holo-puck, slipping it back from whence it came.
Even as the door hissed open, the droid stepping in and offering a partial bow, the individual remained with their back to the door and responded with a simple nod of their head. The droid eagerly shuffled from the room, its hushed voice barely audible as it seemed to speak with an individual, guiding them into the meeting room that remained half-finished.
