Lily was getting closer to the day that she would become a Jedi Knight and there were a million and one different thoughts flying through her mind. Part of the reason she had remained a Padawan long after all her fellow Padawans were promoted, was in part because she felt unprepared for all the responsibilities that were going to come her way. But there was also the fact that she wasn't sure how ready she would be to take on become a Jedi Knight, there would be Sith out there that heard the title, saw her as a threat that needed to be cut down. There was a nervousness that came with that realisation. Especially since she had fought some of the strongest Sith in existence, barely surviving and knowing how far the gap in talent was between them and herself.

So, Lily had a thought that time away from Naboo, doing some travelling and learning more on the Jedi Knight responsibilities and expectations. See what other Jedi achieved while being a Jedi Knight, as well as learning more of what it would mean to be a Jedi Knight since Lily was not exactly sure what that would entail. The concepts were simple and understandable, fighting the dark, standing up for those facing injustice and those who cannot fight for themselves. But she had already been doing that. She was doing the things as a Jedi already, what would this new title grant her that were things she could not already achieve? That was the new question that seemed to plague her mind. The motivation to push her into taking the big new step in life.

Visiting Tython, Naboo, Ilum and some other Jedi enclaves, they hadn't given her answers that she desired. Ahch-To came across her reading, a place where the Jedi started. Where relics of their past remained. Finding what she was missing before taking this next step in her life, that could be massive and life changing but could also change nothing. That was the thing that Lily kept getting hung up on, the possibilities of two very different options that could be plausible. It was too many options to prepare herself for so Lily had hoped that learning more of what made a Jedi Knight and what other Jedi Knights were like in history could provide some answers.

It didn't seem right to pester her friends on this, it was silly. Irrational and just Lily being overly cautious. However, she knew that this was also leading into new stages of her life. She was maturing into the adult stages of her life and while she enjoyed being more carefree in life. That wasn't always going to be possible and with growing threats that surrounded the High Republic, she needed to accept that unfortunately, Lily needed to end that stage prematurely to focus on being the warrior that was needed. Fighting the battles that would be plaguing the galaxy for the foreseeable future. Figuring out how to help others see the Light and inspire hope. So Lily was hoping to find impossible answers on a planet she knew wouldn't have them but at least she could find something. Do something and feel useful.

Time, that was possibly what she needed. But it felt so little. "I got this... Yeah... I got this." Her hand placed itself on the hilt of her Lightsaber as she thought about the reality of this wild goose chase was finally beginning to dawn on her.

Stepping from the ship she owned, Lily decided to stick with her plan since it was some reassurance in feeling some control in her actions but also, even if the answers she was wanting for were never going to be here. At least some answers could be, answers that she could hold for later down the line. Perhaps knowledge she would share with a Padawan if she ever ended up with her own one.

Wandering towards a local village, the feeling of the sun was a pleasant sensation on a fairly chilled day. From what Lily could see, there were mutterings amongst the villagers. Discourse that Lily knew could only mean one thing. Trouble was lurking around some corner near here. Perhaps this was the Force guiding Lily to where she was needed, or just the cycle that any Jedi would go through wandering through the galaxy. Search for trouble long enough and you'll find it.

"I am Lily Decoria, Jedi. Can I help?" Lily asked a local that she passed, offering a smile as she knew that made her muscular appearance seem less intimidating.

The local still looked a little stunned at seeing Lily, but nodded their head, "trouble. Bandits. Need help, too many for any of us to deal with."

Bandits, should have guessed that one. "I shall make sure that they don't disturb you any longer." Question was, how many since Lily could only handle so many on her own. And she was too far away to put a call out for back up.

Another stretch of time away from Naboo. If the padawan was honest, she didn't mind being gone for a bit of time. While she missed some faces, she hated being confined. She often found herself stir crazy, her mind wandering to places she shouldn't be thinking of. Though she knew she could act on them, she needed to maintain her distance at times.

Kito sighed softly as the speeder bike came to a stop near one of the village's shops. Some rumors had finally caught her ear from another town about a string of bandits. It was almost too perfect a timing. The Shaper was planning on trying to sneak behind the Blackwall — a fortress meant to keep everything and anything out of the Empire's space, but she had figured a way through.

Removing her helmet, Kito reached into her jacket and removed her device. Images flicked with her thumb movement. A key, a pass that only some Sith were lucky to have on them. It was her way through, but she would need to try to get a hold of one.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a voice, one that announced they were a Jedi. Kito looked up and listened. The woman was one she had recognized. Recently promoted from what she could remember. She hadn't attended the ceremony, to the Shaper it seemed unnecessary — something Kito would never understand. Maybe it was just the way she was; there wasn't anything she ever wanted to celebrate, not even her birthday. Life Day was once something, but she found a reason to celebrate that at least.

She climbed off the bike and put in the security; her focus was now on this Jedi and her desire to meddle in the village's business. Kito wondered whether she was annoyed because she had been beaten here, or because she had to ask herself whether this was the right thing to do.

The Shaper often hated meddling, but it was apparent that it was something Jedi did best.

After the villagers and the Jedi parted ways, Kito made her presence known. The young Shadow was good at blending in, seemingly becoming a part of the scenery and background. Holding the helmet, Kito cleared her throat and nodded her head in respect to her fellow Jedi.

"Sorry for interrupting…" Kito murmured as she stood straight. She realized her eye level would have to change as she looked down towards the Knight.

"I had heard the rumors as well, and was deciding to investigate… I'm Kito." She offered her free hand.

"I'm a padawan… with the High Republic. If my memory serves me right, you're a Knight with the Order? I'm sorry, but I'm terrible with names."

Lily was getting the details of the location for the bandits and where the main camp was located as far as these villagers suspected as a new person approach. Lily was not someone who considered herself short, even when surrounded by the many tall men of the Jedi Order and even the tall male Sith Lords. Amongst other women, Lily always felt a little taller or about the same height as them. So when Kito stood nearby and Lily was surprised with the sudden sensation of feeling small. It was enough to make her giggle at the silly sensation and wondered if this was something other women felt when around herself or if they felt the same when standing next to Kito.

"Apologises, I just have never stood next to another woman and felt short, it was an amusing sensation." Lily explained, realising how weird it must have seemed for Lily to just randomly giggle as Kito approached. "A pleasure to meet you, Kito. I am Lily, it's okay, there are plenty of people within the Order I know more by their face than by their names." Offering a smile to Kito in order for the other woman to feel at ease as Lily grabbed the datapad that she had and offered it to Kito so she could have a look as well.

The datapad would show a map of the region with a pin placed several miles from where they are. "So, the locals here believe this might be where the bandits are hiding out. Nothing guaranteed but it is a start and somewhere to check out. If you are interested, we can go investigate together. I am guessing you are on a speeder bike?" Gesturing to the helmet that Kito was carrying with her, "if you did want to go together and check it out, then would you mind me hopping on the back of it and we head that way now?" Lily asked, knowing that going on foot would not only be a long trek but would also be somewhat tiring work and if there did end up a fight occurring then Lily needed to be as rested as she could be.

Also, taking her ship would be too noisy and would give away the fact that someone was coming after the bandits so they could set up a defence or flee.
