- - Below Average Speed: Of course, the trade-off in combining a myriad of heavy materials to create a durable hull and plating is reduced speed. As such, the SDS Eminence is slower than the average vessel of comparable size.
In light of the Vanguard's formation, a pronounced lack was identified almost immediately. While most of the organization's exceptional personnel possessed personal vessels, there was no central location or vessel that they could call home. This shortcoming posed several risks for the newly-founded organization, and Stargo Defense Enterprises saw fit to remedy it immediately. The design teams set to work on the creation of a suitable vessel that could act as both a mobile Headquarters and as a means of ferrying the Vanguard to and from its various locations.
Thus, the SDS (Stargo Defense Ship) Eminence was born.
Like its elder siblings constructed at the corporation's former Druckenwell Shipyards, the Eminence began with the combination of several durable metals. These were utilized in order to create a frame and hull plating that can withstand an impressive sum of punishment in the event of shield droppage. However, the flipside to this is the sacrifice of potential speed; for the Eminence is a several notches slower than vessels of comparable size. In terms of combat capabilities, the Eminence is the definition of a balanced vessel. Its armament is moderate, thereby affording room for an equally modest hangar. As such, the Eminence is a perfect complement to any engagement, be it fleeting, planetary assault, or anything in-between.
However, what makes the vessel stand out are the accommodations provided for the Vanguard.
As the organization is not a standard, military force, Stargo Defense Enterprises could take a few liberties in terms of comforts. As such, each individual quarters is of a quality that could suit a diplomat. Furthermore, the corporation saw fit to install a firing range, training rooms, and even a holocron storage unit aboard; thereby providing the Vanguard with everything they would need in a HQ. All in all, the SDS Eminence is a fitting vessel to be utilized by the Vanguard in all of its glorious pursuits.
