- All Power: What the SD-B1 may lack in some areas it more than makes up for with raw power in each shot, albeit with a hardy kick to each in kind as well. While not the most effective against shields, few armors or even hulls can withstand direct fire from its particle beam shots. Its armor penetration capability paired with its low fire rate yet explosive potential has led to the beam blaster being classified as an anti-vehicle/anti-armor weapon.
- All Heft: Due to the volatile nature of the ammunition used by the weapon itself as well as said ammunition tending to have more weight than other similar types of ordinance, the beam blaster is rather heavy. It features dense plating and housings so that the particle canisters are more protected and less likely to detonate, as well as providing additional protection just in case they do. To this end, wielding this weapon for extended periods of time without using the bipod for support is extremely inadvisable and will likely cause muscle fatigue or even damage.
The SD-B1 Particle Beam Blaster represents the smallest possible iteration of Sanguine Defense Works newest line of particle weaponry. Using the same potent canisters to power its destructive potential, this gun is more akin to a blaster cannon than any standard blaster. It is rather difficult to use due to its weight and a distinctly high amount of recoil which limits its rate of fire, however the integrated bipod does somewhat account for these drawbacks and the sheer power ensures that only one or two shots from it will be needed at all.
It is classified by the SDW company themselves as an anti-armor weapon, meant to be used by infantry to combat vehicles and even punch holes into fortifications should the need arise. A role of which it fills quite fully as few other handheld weapons can match the raw power each particle shot can unleash upon their unlucky targets. Only missiles or other such explosive ordinances are comparable in this regard, however its design as a blaster allows it to be relatively easier to manage and learn when compared to missile weaponry. Provided that proper safety precautions are taken when using it as it does have the potential to break the user's arm from recoil alone if fired without proper support.
