Through force and guile, the Twi'lek made her way inside of the Jedi sanctuary. Or rather, the sanctuary of the false Jedi. The keepers of lies and guardians of despair.
Two women approached her near the gate at a steady jog. At first they had probably come to her to support or wanting a status update. But pretty soon they would become aware that from within their small community, the blue Twi'lek did not belong. She was an outsider, and today that was cause for suspicion.
Perhaps she could have been an ally, but the look in her eyes revealed that she looked upon them with disgust. The two brunettes were Human, relatively short compared to her. Perhaps not much older or younger, but based on their presence in the Force and what came next, they had never really risen beyond the apprentice level.
Lightsabers flared to life, clashed together. In the end, it was all over rather quickly. Strike, parry, counter, counter, and Vanja connected with the flesh of one. She screamed in pain. It was fatal, not because of the shallow wound, but how it stole the focus of the other woman who subsequently became struck down, which in turn snowballed into the final wound finishing the other one.
They both went down. A moment of silence followed before echoes of screams and the roars of a rancor above. No, not a rancor. A man who had a tarnished suit. The horror. Indeed, for the residents of the temple, he wast the horror. He drew the attention, the aggro, and made the ascent of Vanja much easier.
Surprise attacks, back-stabs, moments of opportunism. Through them all she carved a path from the entrance hall and deeper within. Based on the roars, Vulgrim was moving ahead and far faster than her. But she was using the more stealthy approach.
