    ADVANCED SYSTEMS

    STRENGTHS
    • +Advanced Sensors- Officially used for salvage the advanced sensors on the Scorpio can be easily modified to scan for law enforcement patrols and military presence as well as picking targeted ships.

+Grappling- Where the Scorpio excels it has tractor beams and grappling cables as well as two grappling arms with airlocks for boarding.

+Heavily Armed- With twelve hard points for weapons placements, the Scorpio can be modified for heavy armament quite easily.

+Automated- Can ran with a single piloted with all hardpoints and a droid brain rerouted to the cockpit

    WEAKNESSES
    • -Nothing beats a crew- Although capable of being piloted and run by a single pilot with a droid brain. The hardpoints often need multiple gunners.

-Cramped- With a maximum crew of twelve all double bunked the Scorpio is cramped quarters with minimal in the way of comfort or luxury.

-Seen better days- Designed for spacers and fringers who know what they're doing. The Scorpio needs constant repair. Worth it if you have a decent mechanic. A pain if you don't.

-Suspicious-Due to it's reputation law enforcement and military have a very poor view of Scorpio's. Often stopping and checking them on sight. This suspicion means if you do have illicit activities you best have your forgeries in order.

    DESCRIPTION

Designed for salvage, relief and rescue operations often as part of a mothership. The Scorpio has long been sought after by smugglers and pirates. Smugglers for it's wide cargo space and sensors. Pirates for it's ability to grapple and board other ships. Combined with it's heavy armaments it is an affordable ship for those outside of the law in any profession. Sometimes Bounty hunters even utilise it converting the crew rooms into cells.

The Scorpio has a reputation for being as illicit inclined as possible for an allegedly civilian ship. The saying goes. "If you're see a Scorpio either way you need rescueing." This has lead law enforcement to regard it with suspicion with Scorpio vessels often being stopped and checked on sight.

It's other claim to fame is that of a salvage vessel that often needs rescue vessels itself. Without a skilled mechanic onboard the Scorpio is often dead in the water. Between the twelve hard points and the automated droid brains the engine and computer systems are often overworked, leading to shutdowns that need reboots, parts replaced and constant maintenance. Which is why it's often attached to larger vessels or mother ships.

The Scorpio has six berths but can be modified to double bunk into twelve, or in the case of some bounty hunters converted into cells.
