  • Name: Sciarch
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Orion Darkstar on the planet Secundus Ando. Clandestine location
  • Average Lifespan: The normal lifespan of a Harch is said to be a few centuries long. With the implementation of Mechu-Deru and Alchemized manipulation to the species entirely, Sciarch’s tend to live close to 150 standard galactic years. According to records twenty percent of successful Sciarch’s tend to die significantly earlier than its respective counterparts.
  • Estimated Population: Scattered
  • Description: Both organic and cybernetic, Sciarch’s are covered in a metallic exoskeleton to protect the more vulnerable parts of its body. This was in part due to what Orion Darkstar Orion Darkstar envisioned for the scientist on the front lines of war. With advanced practices of Mechu-Deru & Alchemized progression in many fields; these Sithspawn are equipped with eight nimble and light weighted appendages. These arms protrude from the back of the Sciarch. This general feature screams Arachnid, mainly in part due to the Harch’s that were kept as test experiments during the early stages of the process. The only trait that really remained of the originated species were the red eyes. While it normally would have had six, the extra two eyes were removed to rip away the mandibles below the Harch’s lower ocular lids. This was necessary to prevent it from causing contorted results as the mechanical invasion took hold of the poor Secundus Andonian sentients.

  • Breathes: Type I & Type II
  • Average Height of Adults: Exactly 2.1336m
  • Average Height of Youth: Approximately 1.6m
  • Average Length of Adults: Exactly 1.6764m
  • Average Length of Youth: Approximately 1.0m
  • Skin color: A mixture of black metal and sinew muscle. (Black, Red & Yellow.)
  • Hair color: Sciarch’s don’t have any resemblance of hair. Its helmet-like head has a sharp point at the tip. Many believe this to be groups of hair that began to form prior to the Mechu Deru practices from fully taking hold. (Metallic or Rare Uncommon colors depending on ritual.)
  • Distinctions: Sciarch’s are quickly dissolved to their homologous comparison of an Arachnid. It bears eight metallic plated arms that protrude from its vertebrae. The Sciarch has four ocular hollow fluid filled spheres. Also, one other notable feature to the Sciarch is the internal tube system showcased along its chest area.
  • Races: No other races have been perceived.
  • Force Sensitivity: Rare

  • Precise Cutting : Slicing open things can be a hassle, with the exception of the right tools. Sciarch’s are exactly that tool. Equipped with natural metals formed in the shape of scythe-like blades. These blades are alchemically infused with the most basic of practices deep within the Sith teachings. As such, they are capable of tearing away at any low grade metal. With its reach and sturdy frame, the sharp blades are capable of dissecting even the toughest of adversaries less prone to scientific research. These appendages can even be made to slice itself open if the situation ever arose.
  • Agile: With plenty of arms or legs at its disposal. The Sciarch can rapidly travel, capable of extending itself over large enough distances to leave many predators behind. Its quickness is perfect for specimens that tend to try and run during on site research.
  • Alchemized Metal Armor: Crafted through the darkside itself, Sciarch’s have developed an outer-shell of hardened steel. This mutation has given the Sicarch incredible protection against normal threats that would otherwise decimate regular metals. Thanks to the staggered mechanized layers, acid or other corrosive liquids would no longer be a threat to the Sciarch. With a consistent chemical compound between layers of its muscle and metal anatomy that acts like a coolant, heat is almost completely useless against this scientific Sithspawn. (I.E. Lightsabers, Blasters & Other Plasma or Heat based weaponry.)
  • Spider-Like Reflexes: Having the main and correlated biomechanics to naturally perform in quickened states of fright or danger; allows the Sciarchs to parry and riposte enemies that are direct threats to its well being. The acuity it maintains through all senses and nerve related receptors make it possible to perform unpredictable methods to skate by unscathed in many situations. These reflexes are excellent for potential tip overs, drops or other accidents that can befall or ruin an experiment.

  • Exposed Muscle: While the Sciarchs were made for scientists to get results directly on any expedition or battlefield, nothing ever resulted in perfection. The darkside creation has multiple weaknesses throughout the course of it’s mutated body. The most vulnerable areas are under and in between the black metallic limbs that menacingly stagger over the Sciarch.. With sinew tendons exposed they could easily be cut off, ironic due to the fact that’s what they were made for. There are a few parts of the body that are similarly exposed. The indices of which reside on the back side of the Sciarchs legs and tiny areas underneath its armpits.
  • Life Sustaining Tubes: While many creations tend to carry their own weaknesses in terms of normal physiology, Sciarchs are forced to live through a process of Gavage. This process forces the Sciarch to have an external and internal tubing method to survive. If gone unprotected in the midst of danger, one deep puncture could mean death.
  • Blinded By the Light: Direct application of Light Side force powers will disrupt the creature entirely and eventually cause it to die.
  • Danger to Others: Created with Technobeasts in mind the Sciarchs could pose a real threat to its very own master. If the Sciarch were ever to slice, stab, or amputate its own instructors, they too could become the very thing they relied on. This would result in a formation either exactly like the Sciarch or a Rare form to take hold. While it's not exactly a direct replica of a nanogene, it is incredibly close.

  • Diet: The Sciarchs only depend on one thing in the entire galaxy, a chemical compound infused with the Sciarchs body. Thus, any form of food or rations are not necessary. They solely live off of plant based chemicals, reversed engineered to provide nutrients and hydration.
  • Communication: Mute. The only form of communication used to be with their mandibles at the forefront of their mouth. Losing all cognitive functionality to this old feature has resulted in rare communication through force sensitive Sciarchs with telepathy. Regular communication is derived from basic commands given from their masters in Galactic Basic or High Sith.
  • Technology level: Created for the sole purpose of obeying others, Sciarchs have no carnal knowledge of understanding Technology. Even if they could, their creation would be a better fit for the task at hand.
  • Religion/Beliefs: The only belief system the creature has is to obey Sith of all ranks. There are certain modifications that can be implanted to allow regular scientists to actively control them, this is dangerous and can cause significant damage to the Sciarch’s frontal lobe, sometimes resulting in critical failure. They’ve been brainwashed to understand safety protocols when handling scientific subjects, Items & other miscellaneous tasks.
  • General behavior: It’s strange to think the Sciarch wouldn’t be aggressive. Alas, its passive nature allows it to maintain diligent work on the front lines of war or expeditions that ensue. While they are created, when they interact with their own kind, they tend to have a motherly attitude towards the younger bunch. This fact alone is odd, considering all test subjects and those thereafter were all males. Still, it shows some sort of feeling through their cold exterior presence. They usually remain quiet, not being able to speak makes this factor more reasonable. Although, those lucky enough to be telepathic tend to be very kind and caring. Sciarchs were designed with war in mind for scientists and as such, could easily become aggressive on any given order from their designated master. Sciarchs were cautious in everything they did, but during their practice of dissecting and extracting they were quick and incredibly precise. In some cases, Sciarchs are caught sleeping by hanging from a ceiling or sidewall with their extra extremities holding them in place.

Secundus Ando wasn't the first conceptual breeding ground for practitioners with the gift and knowledge of alchemy. In fact, it was probably the last place anyone would think to even preform such atrocious methods. This is what made the alchemy lab perfect, located in a clandestine location on Secundus Ando, the lab was constructed and paid for by Orion Darkstar. His interest in the indigenous inhabitants of the planet curated a significant breakthrough in the realm of darkside magic. While he did have a distaste for mechanized machinery and droids, he still had a fundamental understanding of their internal compounds and found that the local Harch's were significantly reliant on them for everyday life. This facet began to allow the observational stages of the Harch's and their way of life. Orion had to find a deeper connection with his sample size to eventually capture and experiment on them. The reason behind his obsession to make the Harch's his next scientific escapade were their most distinctive features. The arachnid species was fascinating, Orion examined them day in and day out until it was time to make them his own experiments. With the arachnid capabilities in mind, he wanted to create a way to make them enhanced and more capable for a division within the sith ranks that lacked proper attention. So, he moved forward with his private project. Keeping the operation a secret meant few could fund it after results were submitted. Luckily, funding came directly from a multiple Sith corporations that remained anonymous.

With previous research being a success in the floral department, a high grade liquid was developed to help the subjects to sustain incredible amounts of pain. This alone probably made the entire project a success. The first protocol was to figure out a way to strip away the natural nutrients the Harch's provided when it came to their fur. This was simple reverse engineering of genetics, some endured being skinned alive early on to see if it would stop the growth rate at particular intervals of testing. The results allowed Orion to convolute the main benefactor of growth disappear. This would propel the agonizing idea of fusing the Harch's with mechanical and technological advancements. This stage demanded all regular growth rates to come to a dead halt, the procedures and ancient practices demanded it as such. One slight mix up and the double growth rates would cause the subjects to either wither and die...or combust. Orion was in the business of rapid genetic mutation, so having the original hosts normal growth factors could pose a great threat to the success at hand. He envisioned a stronger and more perfected anatomy for the Harchs. This lead to a multitude of various testings and in the end lead to significant failures. Many of the subjects couldn't withstand the rapid rate of growth, some amassing gigantic pod-like muscles. In some cases, the liquid compound used for the tests would rupture the organs, in a way that forced green vile liquids to eventually burn through their stomachs. While the formula was perfected, the species it was used on rejected it in so many ways. There had to be other options. Looking back on the results of early methods, the best results came from the primitive and horrific process of skinning the Harchs down to tender muscle. So much so, that tearing away the mandibles had become Orion's favorite part.

The results had to improve in order for him to even conduct a form of Mechu-Deru. The subject had to accept the transmutation, but this time Orion would call on the great ancestors of his sithly ways. Before the first test commenced, he preformed a ritual with an already dead Harch that previously rejected the compounds rapid state. On a molecular level, he was capable of transferring the developed immunities through the rigorous process he officially named Ximue Peresti. The failed subjects had shown signs of increased immunity to the liquid compound entirely. This was odd considering their official dead state, but alchemy had a way of making the impossible, possible. The transfer called for strenuous concentration and during the process darkside energy emitted throughout the compound, this made the user go into a deep stasis of sorts, solely funneling all energies into the subject matters core essence. The display was remarkable, but the results were far superior in what had been achieved. It seemed the irregular immunity of dead cells boosted the Harch's natural immunity to withstand the transformation. What were once hulk-like furry specimens, now holstered controlled mutated muscle. Based on the results of the transfer the muscle had twisted and tangled itself like a tendon. This made the flesh like mutation take on a hardened appeal. The subjects, however, seemed to show incredible signs of weakness to a simple touch. Of course, being touched without a layer of skin was probably painful no matter what transpired. Knowing full well how highly sensitive his creation had become, he set out to fix it.

The first root of the problem was how the accelerated compound infused itself into only the core tissue of the muscle. This wouldn't suffice if the last application were to be a method of Mechu-Deru. Instead, Orion thought of a better way to provide the nourishment to the entire body, which in conjecture could cause more cognitive function of the exterior limbs. Developing a system that could perpetuate a constant flow of the compound through the body, meant ruining his first successful formation at the cost of months of progress upon failure only. Although it was a huge risk, advancement in science came from failures. Thus, the tubing stages had begun. With a inner layer tube, Orion choose to take an invasive approach, that if proved successful would allow him to alter the process as the scientific probes and machinery alerted him of live results. Sustaining below a threshold suitable for a procedure done as invasive as such, Orion carefully infused the double layer of cylindrical elastic and bent it to filter through the esophagus. It was this exact planning that would allow the creation to continually divide its own nourishment where it pleased. This process was similar to a force-feeding method to keep the subject alive, not only during the rest of the altercation process, but during it's final stages of completion. After a rough forty-eight hour observation of vitals and counts of cell swelling, Orion had succeeded on the first try.

Finally, after progress was gained in the area of sustenance, Orion needed a way to make the creation formidable and protected. The initial thought was to fuse the body with a Mechu-Deru incantation, which would still be the final nail in the coffin. Before proceeding with the idea, Orion instead took mechanical parts of the subjects closest droids and technology. Dismantling the droids and devices allowed for a raw transfiguration that when mixed with alloys like Cortosis and Phrik would make the plating he foresaw an incredible finish. By mixing an emulsion of parts and metal alloys together, Orion created a large tank to increase the internal temperature similar to that of ancient forges. This idea was a modern take on the process of melting down the metal and technology. This would allow the plating to take form as the specimen was lowered into the boiling tank infused with darkside energy. The incubation would allow for a less strenuous concentration during the Mechu-Deru practice. The specimen would go through a process that began to fuse both organic and non-organic energies into one. The gene structure of such an exercise is manipulated many times. Due to the consistent changes during the incubation period, along with the effort of a less connected Mechu-Deru undertaking, nano-genes that were studied after this process did not directly reflect the desired end result. Regardless, it still could contaminate and force mutation on others based on the finished product. After an intense thirty day process, what emerged from the tank was the end result Orion named, Sciarch. Its steel exoskeleton was perfectly infused and its obedience came with simple brainwashing methods. The Sciarch had full functionality of all appendages and limbs, the only thing it couldn't maintain was a form of speech. While this displeased Orion, further batches of its creation presented rare forms that were force sensitive and could telepathically communicate with their masters.

After a few iterations were improved on the Sciarch became a scientific staple to the empire and their studious ranks.
