"Guy is a junior like you and me," Voli said nonchalantly. "If anything, he likes girls within his age. Preferably someone who is as introverted as him." That probably meant Voli but she wasn't into the whole dating scene. She found a waste of time but part of her admits playing matchmaker for Zoey felt satisfying. She had to use her observation skills to something rather than just silent snarking at how strange everyone was. "I don't talk to Mel," Voli said. "But I've observed from afar."

The young woman spotted Mel casually walking down the hall. He was a tall, gangly fellow with tan skin and miniature afro. Mel had Holopods stuck in his ears as usual. No doubt listening to a podcast which Voli was almost certain it was about scary stories and conspiracy theories. Voli liked those things as well, but she like the whole occult twist to it. "Go ahead," a smirk formed on Voli's face. "Talk to him."

"Let's see how charming Zoey is." She thought. "Maybe I can give Mel a nudge."

"Hey!" Voli shouted as Mel looked up and noticed Voli waving at him. "Ummmmm," Voli smiled. "You mind talking to my..... friend?" She was a friend right? "She has a question."

"Go get him Tiger," Voli whispered. "I'll be at my locker."

"Guy is a junior like you and me," Voli said nonchalantly. "If anything, he likes girls within his age. Preferably someone who is as introverted as him."

''Yeah, but he's one grade above us, right?'' Zoey uttered, frowning slightly and wondering if she had been wrong about that.

''Uh, I don't wanna sound like that, but then he might be more into you than into me!'' She countered with an amused chuckle. Voli seemed like a nice girl that would fit a guy like Mel. A little pale skinned and dark personality, as she described him, Zoey wondered why he had not got his eyes up for Voli or Voli had approached him before.

Zoey traced Voli's gaze as it was directed towards something, or someone behind her, and turned around to look at what it was.

"Go ahead," a smirk formed on Voli's face. "Talk to him."

''Hey! No wa-!'' Zoey, wide-eyed, tried to protest but was cut off by the other girl.

This was not how she wanted to have her first conversation with Mel, or any of the boys in school. Zoey squeezed the holobooks towards her chest and adjusted her backpack. She took a deep breath and braced herself for what was unavoidably coming. She turned back towards Mel approaching and taking his ear pods out.

''Uhh, well...!'' She uttered and tried to come up with something, and that had to be fast not to make a fool out of herself. ''Y-yeah, I had...! Uh, would you...'' She bit her lip, not daring to look at him for too long. ''Would you like to help... I mean, would you like to... study together, for the math...? I mean, f-for the finals next week... Karking numbers just... get's my head spinnin'...!'' Zoey laid out her made-up excuse and chuckled slightly nervously.

Voli maintained her warm smile quickly turning around to let the lovebirds have their privacy. It wasn't often that she smiled, but Voli felt that she owed Zoey something. She didn't look at Voli as a freak or even treated her as if she was invisible, Zoey was generous enough to actually pay attention to Voli. Something that she was still embarrassed about. "I was never used in drawing so much attention," Voli thought as she neared her locker. "I just hope Zoey isn't trying to pull some prank on me in front of hundreds of people."

She can already see it, Voli heading to Zoey's house for the party, then Zoey and her friends fawn over her to obnoxious degrees and then when Voli had her guard down, they dump a bucket of blood on Voli and Zoey and her posse laugh at her. Laugh at the loner goth girl, that's definitely not going to piss her off and use her-

"Focus, focus, focus!" Voli slammed her palm on her forehead keeping her head down. She knew that whenever she gets too angry her powers get out of control. "Mila!" Voli said arriving at her locker. "Remember what you did......"

(OOC: Mel)

"That's what the Jedi are trying to do to us!" The sound of Jobak: A Dug conspiracy theorist voice blasted through Holopods in Mel's ears as he walked through the hallway. Mel loved listening to him trying to make sense of the many things that happened to the Galactic Alliance, from constant invasions by the Sith Empire, to now potential war with their long time allies: The Hapans. It was chaos and Mel had a feeling that the Alliance Senate and the Jedi were not being forthcoming about the facts.

"The Jedi are trying to take over the Alliance!" Jobak yelled. "They're trying to build a warrior nation under their rule! Why else were the last two Chancellors former high ranking Jedi? I think you all know!"

He saw Zoey Bradiss Zoey Bradiss and took out his holopods, Mel talked to her on several occasions during class. She was definitely pretty but she was more of a sporty type. Mel figured that he wasn't the type of guy for her even though he did see her all of her Hockey games. "Hey Zoey." Mel said frowning. "Oh so you can't make heads or tails out of pre calc huh? No problem. I can help though I am maintaining a B average so I can claim to be a Mathematician."

Mel chuckled. "So you think you're going to make the Hockey Finals?" He asked.

"Hey Zoey." Mel said frowning. "Oh so you can't make heads or tails out of pre calc huh? No problem. I can help though I am maintaining a B average so I can claim to be a Mathematician."

''Oh... Hah! Well, that's perfect then!'' Zoey replied nervously, and tried to put on an equal nervous smile to have as a shield for her emotions that had so suddenly been challenged because of Voli's so kind shout out to Mel. What a way to show gratitude for being nice! At the same time, Zoey knew that the goth girl probably only meant well by doing so. She knew and were more than meets the eye, that was for sure!

''I thought you had an A, considering the amount of holobooks you carry around!'' Zoey said, with the intention of telling Mel that he had struck her as a rather clever guy. A grade A student. ''I... I guess I'll be lucky if I get a B before the term's over!'' she added and adjusted her backpack somewhat.

Mel chuckled. "So you think you're going to make the Hockey Finals?" He asked.

''Heh, of course!'' Zoey stated with solid confidence and affirmation, proudly stretching a bit when her favourite past time was brought up. ''We're actually doing great this season! We might even win the Globex-Sun Galactic Games this year!'' she added, while her gaze discreetly and involuntarily glanced the boy up and down. He was cute. Zoey couldn't deny that, but he had also struck her as the careful and silent type. Maybe not the type and boy at the top of her list, but definitely cute and interesting. ''You know... You should come and watch sometime. I can get you in for free!'' she insisted, not knowing Mel actually having watched all of her games, either through the HoloNet or on site.
