Armor Description
A crowning moment in Reclaimer Arms & Industrial's history, the Savior Class Tactical Vest is the most advanced and state of the art protective vest the galaxy has to offer. With protection against ballistic weapons and the option of lightsabers and Blasters of the accompanying SAPI is inserted. It's great for commandos looking for a lightweight vests, diplomats in a war zone, and for any paranoid crime lord needing a little extra protection around the chest.

How it's built. The Savior is all about its simplistic design. On top is a layer of Zilo Skin anti ballistic material, between that within the carrier pouch where the user may place their insert of choice in, then of course on the inner lining is one last layer of Zilo Skin for that extra ballistic protection. Despite the Savior's extra bells and whistles it's simple layered design is what keeps its wearer safe from harm.

Strengths. From large assault rifle grade slugs to deadly pistols this vest will offer you superior chest protection against the more conventional weapons in the galaxy. Capable of stopping large caliber slugs upwards to a 7.62 and even a .308 the vest is strong, sturdy, and above all practical. It's light depending on the gear you use with it, and it offers an array of customization. So for users looking for a piece of armor that offers lightweight mobility and protection, this is the vest for you.

Weaknesses. The biggest threat against this vest is acidic weaponry. Acid launchers and slugs that will eat through the vest and Zilo Skin even with an additional insert. If you are struck by acid or if the vest fails any other way, please pull the release chord found in the shoulder and remove it to access any wounds or before any acidic materials melt into your skin. It's also noted that large caliber weapons in the more anti vehicle category such as large caliber snipers, heavy turrets, and heavy kinetic objects can pierce the vest and injure the user. So while this vest offers great protection against such things it can't really stack up to weapons meant to penetrate six inches of solid Durasteel. Lastly and most obviously, this is a vest. It coveres your chest, back, and mid section. It lacks the protection of full body armor, so if your arms get chilly or cut off, it's not our problem.

Summary. A great piece of armor for anyone looking to keep their mobility and their chests safe. Please use this responsibly and remember at Reclaimer Arms & Industrial, if you die wearing this then you're entitled to your money back.

  • If you could please just mention somewhere around this area that the Phrik SAPIs are inserted into the chest and sides of the vest, and that this doesn't include that particular protection for the back.

General Rules for Technology

Here are the general rules and guidelines for Technology. Please also review the Factory Standardized Rules prior to making a submission.

1. Submissions which make use of base material submissions that utilize restricted materials will always require substantial development involving that restricted material. (i.e; Phrik Armorweave submissions will require development for utilization in future armor submissions)

2. Fully constructed lightsabers are restricted to a maximum of semi-unique production.

3. All companies utilized as manufacturers must be hyperlinked to their submission or canonical article.

4. The template's fields are not to be changed/removed/altered, additional information may be added but base fields may not be changed or removed.

5. Development threads must be ten posts or greater to be accepted in factory submissions.

6. Submissions & development threads should adhere to the established standards of development.

7. Work-in-Progress submissions are not permitted in the factory.

8. For Restricted items, standard development may grant between Unique and Limited production depending on the submission, with a maximum of Minor production following additional development.

9. All development threads that are hyperlinked in submissions must be cited as the full thread title, not an abbreviation.
Per the first rule of the Technology forums, any submission which makes use of a base material that is made from a restricted material will always require development involving that restricted material.

This is found at the top of our Technology Template thread.

This is just a carrier vest for the Insert I put the qualities of the plate in the submission because it's all combining into one product. The Zilo Skin, The Carrier Vest, and the SAPI. If you want I can just scrap the Insert submission and just use that dev thread for this product?

You can simply say that the vest is capable of utilizing the inserts, rather than submitting it as though it were manufactured with the inserts already in it. Simply state the vest is modular in that the inserts (Phrik SAPIs) can be inserted as optional extra defense to whatever the vests already offer.

Example:

You have this currently, just add on the Phrik SAPIs at the end like so

Then just adjust the rest of the description & special features so it's stated that the vest is, by default, without the inserts but the consumer may voluntarily add it post-market (like as if I went out and bought one of these vests, then separately purchased the inserts at a later date).
