Kelik Corinthus

Deep within the scums of urbanized Nal Hutta, Kelik was left alone. No food. No family. Just his name and whatever he could carry on his back. He still remembers the day he truly became an orphan.
It was a relatively warm and quiet day, as peaceful as peaceful can be on Nal Hutta, and Kelik was but a young glaucus. He and his family were in their home having an amusing time playing with their young child. Kelik's early life was great. His parents loved him and treated him like a prince. The life of an only child was great and Kelik loved every bit of it. Suddenly, gunshots and yelling could be heard on the ground floor of their home. "Son, hide in the closet and do not come out until it's quiet. Remember what I taught you and you will be fine. Go!" Kelik's father exclaimed as he pushed his son towards the closet. Kelik could not see anything from inside the closet but the sound of his parents readying weapons was good enough for Kelik to realize that his parents were in some kind of trouble.Almost an hour later, it was quiet inside the Corinthus' home. Kelik then walked out of the closet and proceeded with his father's escape plan for young Kelik. Kelik grabbed the bag, made by his mother, that was ready for him and what seemed to be vagrant robes. By this time, Kelik knew his parents were gone and left his home without looking back. Kelik then wandered the streets of Nal Hutta from that day on and kept a low profile in order to stay hidden from anyone who might recognize him.

That was one of the darkest days in Kelik's history. A day he'll never forget and hopefully will, one day, look back on and laugh. For now, Kelik was young and alone. He scoured the planet for guidance but without a proper parental figure he was lost.

Soliael wandered through the streets of Nal Hutta. His foot steps left imprints within the mud, each one seemingly tainted the Darkside of the force. The false God wandered through the streets of the desiccated and disgusting world. There was a frown on his face as he walked the somewhat empty streets. He despised this world and everything upon it. Nal Hutta was a ball of filth, corruption, and greed.

It was everything that Soliael stood against, except for the murder of course. Soliael committed murder every other day, it was part of Moross of course. This however was different. What he did helped others, it helped the growth of his Faith and those loyal to him. Of course it helped himself also, but that was just a side-effect. The Hutts were completely and totally different. They wanted only to help themselves, and they didn't care who they hurt to do it.

Slowly the God may his way through the streets, frowning in disgust at the sights he saw.

Kelik sat there at the end of an alley, coughing and hungry. He sat there wearing tattered robes covered in stains. His face was one of a child, young and alone. Tears ran down his face but no actual sobbing could be heard. He kept a straight face as he wiped away the few tears that were produced by his eyes. He wanted off this planet no matter the cost.

Soliael walked over to the child at the end of the alley. His steps were confident, proud, and powerful. There was an air of absolute strength about him, something about it was entirely inspiring. He stood as tall as a god, and as he looked down upon the boy he appeared to be a Titan. Slowly he peered down at the boy, he was of a species that Soliael had never seen before, and that was something that interested him.

He had lived for nearly two and a half centuries, and he had never seen a person like this. He found it extremely interesting, and slowly he wandered up to the child until he was only a few feet away from him.

“What is your name?” Soliael asked the question, expecting an answer. He did not squat down or even met the childs gaze.

Young Kelik looked up to Soliael, eyes glistening from the tears and said "I .. I can't tell you..." Kelik then looked back down to the ground. He reeked off indistinguishable foul orders. "Why do you ask?" Kelik said as he looked down the alley then back into his lap.

“Because I am eternally curious.” The God's voice was more of a rumble than actual speech. He looked down at the boy finally, and met the small aliens gaze. His eyes were a pale orange, they gave off a soft glow. There was a hidden intensity to them, a pulse that seemed to run from his iris to his pupil. It was as if one was staring at the center of a sun.

The God looked at the child, and then spoke again. “Do you wish to better yourself?”

It wasn't a question of if the child was already good, it was a question of if the child wanted to be even better. To Neth everyone was worthless until proven otherwise, that included young children. Something about this boy pointed to create potential, and the Keeper of knowledge was always appreciative of potential.

Kelik coughed a little and looked back up to the strange man in front of him. Kelik was frightened that he was one of the men who gunned down his parents, at first. But something about him made Kelik kind of trust him. "Kelik Corinthus, sir. Not that it matters in this galaxy who I am." Kelik spoke in a low tone with his head hung. When the stranger asked his question, Kelik looked puzzled. "Better myself, how?"

“Become stronger. Become something to guide others. Become a beacon of everything you will no longer be.” The God spoke cryptically, as you would expect any god to do. Slowly he reached out to the boy, his arm extending with an open palm.

He offered the boy a way out, a way to become something better. It was not the way of the Sith, but it was the way of Moross. He would bring the boy into the fold, he would raise him and make him something better. He would serve the people of Moross in a way that best suited him, and Soliael would guide him there.

Kelik chuckled a little bit. "That does sound like it would be fun. But...I don't know.." Kelik went through the possible outcomes in his head before speaking again. "Who are you anyways?" Kelik reached out for his hand and stood himself up.
