    • The native population are an oppressed people, but it would be difficult for travellers without prior knowledge or research to notice it. A Satorian's worth is measured by their perceived talent and abilities, and while treated well few have any real freedom with much of their livelihoods determined by their Avali masters the families to which they belong. Satorians generally do not concern themselves with freedom as other species might and are content to serve their masters.

      In general, the planetary government follows many common legal norms. However, it very much favours Avali and Satorian interests meaning most traders must remain cautious not to inadvertently offend or be perceived to act dishonourable in any business transaction or relation. This includes adapting to Avali social norms which can be problematic for some.

      For example, the most offensive thing an outsider can do is offer a Satorian food or resources without prior knowledge or consent from their superiors as this will be perceived as an insult, suggesting they cannot provide for their indentured servants. Equally, it is illegal to harm, or otherwise damage the property of another this includes, but is not restricted to, kidnapping, murder, misappropriation of resources, poisoning etc. particularly if this involves Satorian servants.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military:
    • Militarily speaking Sator IV lacks any significant fortifications, and the standing army is small in comparison to most common planetary defence forces with much of its defences coming in the form of automated gunnery platforms and droids. In the event of a full-scale invasion, the Avali will invoke ancient treaties to form a temporary confederation to consolidate the Guild's combined militaries. Equally, the world is bathed in high degrees of UV radiation meaning most settlements are underground warrens and structures making them naturally resistant to orbital bombardment.

      In short, attacking the planet isn't difficult but capturing it without Satorian or Avali support will likely be very costly or drawn out.
