OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Intent: To create an agent of the KSC in the lower hierarchy who can show up now and again to wreak some havoc. Been wanting to make a character kind of like this, but don’t really have the time to dedicate to it. So an NPC it is! Besides, who doesn’t love a pirate?

Falleen

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
Age: 45
Force Sensitivity: None
Species: Falleen
Appearance:
Saros can quickly be summed up as large and imposing. He is a Falleen, a species known for their strikingly beautiful appearance and ability to exude pheromones which made them all but irresistible to both sexes. A cold-blooded reptilian, Saros has small scales all over his body, as well as slightly clawed fingers and toes. He displays prominent facial ridges along his scalp and cheeks. He has a slightly peculiar nose, a present from birth, but it is not something commented on by his crew. His scales are of a green colour, but being of the species he is, this is subject to change.

Most of Saros’ enemies, however, would never learn much of the above information. He is rarely found outside of his armour, and the helmet he wears covers up his head entirely. Saros’ helmet is of a unique and memorable design, crafting sharp facial features made for intimidation and to have him stand out in the midst of battle. The helmet even has metallic dreads installed around the head for purely aesthetic reasons. On those occasions where he does find himself outside of his armour, his attire is simple and casual.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
Name: Saros Kagan
Loyalties: Saros Kagan (KSC affiliated)

RL-40 Stun Net Launcher

DT-12 Heavy Blaster Pistol

Skills: Saros is an excellent fighter and a competent fleet commander. He commands his own ship from the bridge and issues commands to any extra ship under his command, although it’s worth noting that his experience comes more with smaller vessels and minor fleets, and he is far from a grand admiral.

He is skilled with the heavy blaster pistol he uses, although he is also gifted with a blade. However due to the nature of his job, he will more often than not try to incapacitate and capture his opponents with stun weapons or similar

Thanks to his Falleen heritage, he is resistant to Force mind tricks. Additionally he is capable to naturally exude pheromones at

Judging by his size alone, one can easily assume that Saros is a physically strong man. As true as this is, he draws just as much benefit from his mental strength. He is a quick thinker and brighter than most, a blessing when combined with his powerful physique. Typical of his species, he displays a high level of discipline and control, and is nearly patient to a fault. He will often come across as cold and calculating, as he rarely reveals his thoughts by displays of emotion, a characteristic he encourages in his own officers.

The one area where Saros indulges is when it comes to wealth. He is infamously greedy. A captain of his own ship and leader of many expeditions, he shares only as much as he can get away with without risking mutiny, and hoards as much as he can for himself. Despite this he manages to come off as charitable, thanks to many successes. This allows the crew to still earn a good amount. Deceitful by nature, Saros usually manages to keep the greatest discoveries hidden from the crew, and through that making their share of booty seem greater than it really is. Strategically he seeks to come off as generous by making a theatrical spectacle of sharing their spoils. Saros is diplomatically skilled and knows how to talk for himself and manipulate the masses.

Saros is loved by his crew for his displays of bravery. While many of their engagements are of ship-to-ship combat, when it comes time to board or launch raiding parties on vulnerable villages, he always positions himself at the heart of the action. He is an inspiring leader who through mere presence alone has the men and women under him fight harder. The times where he has saved individual members of his crew as about as numerous as the times they have returned the favour for him. Yet all this aside, he is a cruel disciplinarian who does not tolerate slacking or cowardice, and punishes his crew accordingly.

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon of Choice: DT-12 Heavy Blaster Pistol
Combat Function: Saros has a reputation for throwing himself into the midst of the battle. He leads from the frontlines, yet he is not reckless. Being the sneaky pirate he is, he seeks engagements that favour him from the outset, be that due to terrain advantage or a little strategic bombardment before they move in.

Doubling as a slaver he and the men he leads will generally try to use non-lethal force. Life is valuable, in the sense that the more they capture the more they’re paid. Though generally ranged weaponry will be used, Saros having a preference for his heavy blaster pistol, when the situation calls for it he’ll gladly whip out the vibrosword and use his size and strength to his advantage in cutting down his opponents.

If possible he’ll try to finish his opponents before the battle begins, making surrender seem more tempting than battle.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Much of Saros’ history is unknown. Or rather, what is myth and what is reality is something hard to separate. Over the years many stories has surfaced about his backstory as well as deeds as a slaver and pirate. While most are half-truths and some pure fiction, Saros has not cracked down on any of them, allowing his reputation to run freely and sometimes secretly encouraging the spread of certain rumours that he feels are beneficial.

They say he is a legitimized bastard, who only became recognised in the eyes of his family after he killed his older brother with his bare hands and forced his father to recognise him. While he was a bastard, this was never seen as an issue with his family or growing up. His older brother died of disease at a young age, and the two brothers were in fact very close. Despite this, Saros has permitted the so-called kinslayer rumour to run rampant, thinking the story would strike fear into his enemies and encourage those serving him not to cross him.

The stories that tell of him as a veteran of war are mostly true. Even the ones displaying outrageous cruelty to his captured enemies had some truth to them, although those actions always served a different purpose, and was not done for the pleasure of the cruelty itself. However this does little to salvage his soul, for those who believe in such things, as he did them without flinching and never looked back. While his reasons may be his own, he is certainly capable of heinous acts without remorse or much hesitation.

Even when provided the choice, Saros would pick nothing but the ‘profession’ he currently finds himself in. The pirate’s life is truly for him, enjoying the freedom and power that comes with it, as well as the seemingly endless opportunity. Furthermore it allows him to pursue his favourite hobby, for Saros is a hunter at heart, only truly feeling alive when killing God’s little creatures.
