- Composite Beam: Much of the cruiser's firepower is focused into a single prow mounted heavy composite beam known as a 'fusion lance'. While not a one shot one kill weapon it is capable of inflicting considerable punishment even on ships above its weight.
- Uukaablian Durability: Uukaablian deflector shields and reinforced bulkheads are superior to most comparable defensive systems.
- Prow Mount: Fusion Lance composite beams only have a sixty degree firing arc, much of the escort's damage potential is forward facing.
- Precision Fire: Fusion Lance composite beams cannot target ships lower than 100 meters with any accuracy.
- Repair Time: The hollow, ovoid design of the Sanctum-class makes it more difficult to transport materials from port to starboard or bow to stern.
- Sensor Bloom: The advanced shield generator to the ship's aft maintains a powerful blue glow. It has an uncloakable sensor imprint, and if the shields go down is a large and obvious target.
Rarely seen beyond Kathol sector's frontiers, Uukaablian defense cruisers are little cousins to the famed Tahree-class command ship. They are some of the most powerful combat vessels in the entire Uukaablian Navy. While precursor models often saw action during their past history of warmongering and conquest today these ships are rarely used to their purpose. Occasionally seen taking part in regional peacekeeping and anti-piracy campaigns a large contingent of Sanctum cruisers hasn't seen battle for thousands of years.
Today the large assault vessels overwhelmingly serve in a home system defense capacity, although some are occasionally dispatched to serve as command and logistics centers for the Navy and other friendly powers.
