Description: A 'samara' is a winged seed, designed to catch the wind and propagate. The Samara-class shuttle is a small Ithorian-built shuttlepod capable of ranging across the general region of Varunda IX. It's commonly found around other major Ithorian worlds like Borao, Oetrago, and Ithor. Revwien and Ithorian owners often fill these pacifist-designed shuttles with small gardens. Others just find the Samara-class an unexceptional shuttle with good legs and no teeth, perfect for civilian use in safe areas.

New Habat University maintains a small fleet of these shuttles, and uses them as support vessels for its science frigates and large transports. Ithorian Mercantile often uses them to access small, safe markets that don't merit a herd ship, or don't have one due for a while.
