is a part of. - Image Credit:

- Unit Name: Salvage Team Six.
- Affiliation:
- Classification: Special Forces.
- Description: When the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant needs to call upon the best of the best, the brave men and women of Salvage Team Six are always there to answer the call. Of all the special operation teams employed by the Imperial Remnant, Salvage Team Six is by far the most prestigious and well known of them all. While many dream of joining this elite special operations unit, only a select few are able to make the cut. Those that do are undoubtedly some of the most skilled fighters in all the galaxy, and the members of Salvage Team Six are able to go toe to toe with nearly any type of enemy, whether they be Force Users, Mandalorians, Droids or even Sithspawn abominations.
- Unit Size: Small, most members of Salvage Team Six operate in squadrons of 8 to 12 soldiers.
- Unit Availability: Rare, Salvage Team Six consists of about 1,500 to 2,000 members at full strength.
- Unit Experience: Elite, only the best of the best are permitted to join Salvage Team Six, though any member of the Imperial Remnant is welcome to try regardless of rank, age or gender. Certain alien species are permitted to join Salvage Team Six as long as their biology is compatible with the armors used by the unit, though the number of aliens who join the unit every year is very small due to widespread non-human discrimination.

- Combat Function: Being an elite special operations unit, Salvage Team Six is capable of performing nearly any type of mission profile that might be asked of them, regardless of planetary conditions, enemy combatant strength or time table. That being said, Salvage Team Six does not operate in a traditional manner, and enjoys a far greater degree of autonomy when compared to most other elements of the Mahporeem Imperial Army. Depending on what their mission is, Salvage Team Six can be deployed to either the frontlines or behind enemy lines, securing critical mission objectives for the Imperial Remnant and the Imperial Confederation, causing maximum disruption by sabotaging enemy assets, and gathering vital pieces of intelligence and technology for Imperial use. In reality, there isn't really any so called "wrong" way to use Salvage Team Six, as the unit has been developed to be as adaptable and versatile as possible, though the team does prefer to utilize the element of speed and surprise in their attacks as much as they can, completing mission objectives before the enemy is able to properly react. When forced to fight in large scale engagements, Salvage Team Six tends to suffer the most.
- Mission Profiles: The following is a non-exhaustive list of the different types of missions that Salvage Team Six engages in:
- Raids
- Ambushes
- Search and Rescue Missions
- Boarding Operations
- Asset Recovery
- Technology Acquisition
- Intelligence Gathering
- VIP Protection
- Targeted Assassination
- Sabotage
- Training Guerrilla Fighters
- PYSOP Operations
- Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): N/A
- The best of the best: Anyone wishing to join Salvage Team Six must undergo a rigorous and grueling application process, one designed to eliminate all but the strongest applicants. Those who survive this process can rightfully claim to be the "best of the best", and are perhaps the most well trained troops in all the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant.
- High-end: Members of Salvage Team Six have access to the highest quality and most advanced equipment that the Imperial Remnant can get its hands on, ensuring that all members of the team are able to operate at peak efficiency.
- Reputation: Salvage Team Six spends an inordinate amount of time and credits on ensuring that it maintains a good reputation with the greater galactic community, meaning that much of the general public tends to see the organization positively despite the nature of the missions it engages in.
- Force fighters: Recently, Salvage Team Six had received a number of different weapons and pieces of equipment that are designed to combat force users, increasing the team's effectiveness against this type of threat.
- Propensity for casualties: Despite the elite nature of the unit, Salvage Team Six tends to receive heavy casualties due to the high danger level of the missions that its members engage in.
- Replenishment issues: The unit's high casualty level, combined with its long and difficult training process and refusal to enlist aliens in large numbers means that Salvage Team Six is nearly always chronically short on available manpower.
- Staying power: Salvage Team Six is not a conventional military unit. In large scale battles or engagements, the team tends to suffer, especially if not supported by other more conventional units, such as Junktroopers or KX/B1 Monster Droids. Salvage Team Six is simply too small to go toe to toe with entire armies.
- Secretive: Many of the missions that Salvage Team Six engages in are classified, often making it difficult to determine what exactly the organization is up to. Even within the Imperial Remnant, many elements of the armed forces may not be aware of Salvage Team Six does or who the team answers to.
Salvage Team Six can trace its roots back nearly a thousand years. Formed shortly after the defeat of the original Galactic Empire, Salvage Team Six was created to deal with the various threats that Mahporeem would face during its long self-imposed exile, combating pirate attacks, planetary rebellions and criminal organizations. Once Mahporeem decided to end its isolation from the galaxy and join the Imperial Confederation, Salvage Team Six quickly became an indispensable part of the Confederation's military machine, participating in a variety of classified missions for the advancement of Imperial goals.
Despite the team's training and abilities however, it quickly became apparent that Salvage Team Six was woefully unprepared to deal with a certain type of threat that the Imperial Remnant hadn't faced in centuries: Force Users. The Confederation's defeat at Brosi pushed Salvage Team Six to adopt a number of different weapons and equipment designed to combat these Force Users, greatly increasing the team's overall effectiveness against them. Armed with these new weapons and equipment, Salvage Team Six has now set out to destroy the enemies of the Confederation once and for all, regardless of who they are or where they may come from.
It is within this organization that Captain
Now, Ronhar and Salvage Team Six continue to fight for the future of the galaxy, combating enemy threats wherever they may pop up. Whether or not their efforts to bring a galaxy wide are sufficient remain to be seen, but one thing does remain abundantly clear: Salvage Team Six will continue to fight on the behalf of the Imperial Confederation for the foreseeable future. The stakes are simply to high not to, and Mahporeem truly shares in the Confederation's vision for the future galaxy. Salvage Team Six will play a role in creating that future, regardless of the cost.
"As the best of the best, we'll do the rest!"
