- Lightbringer: The sword is infused with the light side of the force, not only making it more resistant to lightsaber blows but also making it easier for someone trained in the light side to channel force abilities through the blade, similar to a lightsaber.
[*]Echani Weaving: Echani weaponsmiths have literally forgotten and rediscovered more about forging weapons than most races have discovered in the first place. While many cortosis weaves become blunt during sparring and light combat, Echani smiths have long been able to insulate against such damage.
[*]Lightsaber-proof: between the Force-imbuement and Songsteel-Cortosis weave, Sala's sword is extremely resistant to lightsabers and similar energy/plasma-based weapons, even when in a force-dead or force-dampened area. - WEAKNESSES
- Lightbringer: Imbued with the light side of the force, this blade sticks out to anyone who has even a modicum of force sensitivity, especially if they're in tune with feeling the force around them. What's more, it glows white when wielded by a force user strong in the light side.
[*]Skill Required: Whereas a lightsaber can cut through almost anything in almost any blade orientation and can be extremely light, this blade holds the weight of a metal blade and requires the control and skill to hit something at the right angle and with the right force and motion to cut through things.
[*]Total Eclipse: Because of being infused by the light side, this blade is very susceptible, if not being wielded by a light-sider, to being damaged or destroyed through the efforts of a skilled or powerful dark-sider or prolonged.

Sala was raised by a family of force-using Echani, a family that has dedicated themselves not only to Ashla but to following the example of famed Echani warrior Yusanis and Raksta Lsu, fighting for the good of the people and trying their best to defend Eshan and the galaxy at large from Bogan, even unto death. As such, there have been a variety of traditions that have been passed down throughout the centuries. Each member is expected to forge, with help, and maintain their own weaponry, usually Echani vibroblades. Herself being unique among her family and a rarity among the galaxy, it is only fitting that Sala's chosen weapon is much more unique
Sala's blade is a slightly curved "hand and a half" sword forged in a Songsteel-Cortosis weave. Measuring to about a meter and a half, this sword is designed to be used one or two-handed, and has been infused with light side energies throughout the process of forging, allowing Sala to use the blade to channel various force abilities through it as if it were a lightsaber.
