Sailing Forbidden Seas

There was so much out there. The youngest Starchaser was hopeful about what was going on. The Dawn Treader, her family's ship, the one that had helped raise her, was loading itself up. She had a few moments alone with the crew. The Treader served many of the Wanderers, the variety of families who found themselves roaming between space port to space port. A number had been born and raised aboard the ship. They were a people without a home, without a planet. Yes, the Starchasers, and others were proud descendants of a number of worlds, her own family were proud Corellians. Her brother had made his world back out to the world, but she was probably too much like her father for her own good.

And explorer, and adventurer. She had actually received a heavily modified Cardea that was set up for her and her team. The ship was a gutted medical vessel that was outfitted with some of the best Silk and Starchaser Enterprise tech. An advanced sensors array and updated navigation system, not to mention a stygium cloaking system. The vessel was a bit of a hot rod, but what it did have in advanced systems and propulsion, it lacked in weapons systems. As per Starchaser standards, advanced shields were the name of the game, and the use of advanced targeting warheads were providing an array of weapons and damage types to chase off raiders and hunters.

This was the first vessel of its kind, and as an ode to her Corellian upbringing, on top of the matte finish, she had it painted with Corellian green design. Looking out at the Terminus space dock from the hangar of the Treader, she stepped up the ramp of the Wandering Star and looked to her droid. “When we’re there, we start the engines, I’ve got the first few jumps already planned.” As she warmed up the engines of her YT-2400, she grinned. The red ship was launching from her home, to what would be her new home for the foreseeable future.

Designed as a go between for smaller exploration vessels, and the Starchaser fleet of Forerunners, this was going to be leading a group of wanderers and explorers deep through the Outer Rim and Wild Space, looking for answers in the darkness.

As her ship arrived on the newly minted Wayfinder, Kaia made it to the bridge.

“All systems green. Provide the jump coordinates to the rest of the Wanderers. Lets dive.”

OOC: A bit slower paced, exploration of fleets, or using this to help link in some solo exposition exploration. Kaia is bound for the Wild Space and Outer Rim regions

The Wanderers were looking for their destination. She had a few in mind but the one she had picked was to head into the Outback. Maybe hit the Rift, Kaia had a few of the old data files, the ones from Jorus and her father. The Kathol area was a big part of the Coalition, and she knew that there were many travelers and explorers that made their way out there. What she was hoping for the most was to expand the records of the Outer Rim and their mineral, ore, and rare materials database. All the while providing a jump off and mobile beacon. The Forerunners were able to scan the asteroids and the teams of freighters could help move materials in and out of the larger ships. What would then happen were meetings with the Starchaser Enterprises Gentes, coming in escorted on a pair of smaller frigates.

Ones bristling with weapons and fresh supplies. It would be a bit of a chain, but she hoped the trips wouldn’t get own people too lost. Smaller vessels would take the bigger leaps, with the Forerunners watching the local systems, the Wayfinder was going to burn the trail, with even more advanced systems to trailblaze.

Weapons were going to be coming from the fighters, and the hope that the quartet of Starchaser Enterprise frigates would arrive in time. Winged, and centered on weapons and shields, they were slow moving in real space. But laying behind a system of beacons, she’d even allow GUIDE and others to keep track. On top of that? Her away teams all wore the former ExCon Suits of the former Levantine Sanctum.

A grin as she sent the transmission of where her team was going, she mad it up to the bridge as the Wayfarer jumped out of the Terminus system.
