This weapon is a refined fusion of elegance, forged as a gift for a mysterious recipient. A rapier forged almost entirely from cortosis alloy, designed with the purpose of giving its wielder a stylish and effective counter against foes that wield a Lightsaber. It follows the typical construction of a rapier, though the weight is quite apparent to most experts, as Reina herself is not a skilled smith, and using cortosis can add a lot of excess weight, yet she decided to keep the weight to give its pierce a bit more of a punch.
As someone who has lost a limb of her own, and understanding the despair it can cause, Reina made sure to fit the blade with a protective guard, designed to protect the hand, making sure that the protection was also built out of cortosis. Whilst some might think it was made purely for appearance purposes, Reina decided that it would act as a sufficient guard to help defend against the maiming strikes of a lightsaber or otherwise similar weapon.
The blade shines as a weapon used for precision, though strength is still required for it compared to a typical rapier to make up for its weight. It might not allow for the flashy flourishes of a typical rapier, but it allows for unpredecent access and reach compared to a standard sword of a similar weight. In the right hands, this rapier can be quite a threat against those who wield a lightsaber, proving that although this might be the age of Lightsabers, standard swords have not been fully disposed of just yet.
