DESCRIPTION
Saandyr Farms Poultry & Porg is a wholly owned subsidiary of the fast-food giant Mando Fried Porg incorporated to supply the restaurant chain and its franchises with the large volume of processed Porg meat needed for daily operations. Although Mandalorian owned Saandyr Farms and MFP for that matter is an intergalactic company operating under charter from the Commerce Guild so, as such, is beholden to its owners rather than any territorial political entity. This structure allows them to operate their business free from the squabbles of individual factions and successfully weather conflicts between factions.
Aside from a few legacy contracts to various small entities (totaling less than one percent of their total production), Saandyr Farms is structured to met the needs of its owning entity so aside from the byproducts obtained from the raising of porgs, which they do sell on the open market, the entirety of their product is sold to MFP. Each Regional Distribution center process approximately 300 million Porgs per day which accounts for approximately half of MFP's daily requirements. The remaining demand is satisfied by smaller local production facilities. Porg feathers which are sold on the luxury market and the voluminous amount of guano produced by the growing Porgs which is processed into GAPP (Grade-A Porg Poop) fertilizer and used internally or sold on the open market to offset operating costs.
MISSION STATEMENT
At Saandyr Farms Poultry & Porg, a proud wholly owned subsidiary of Mando Fried Porg (MFP), our mission is to fuel the galaxy with the premium, high-volume processed poultry and Porg meat required to sustain daily operations across all MFP franchises. We stand alone in our commitment to keeping the galaxy's favorite fried Porg securely on the menu.
We are dedicated to maximizing efficiency, driving down production costs, and securing the unrivaled quality necessary for that iconic "Beskar Lickin' Good" flavor of our famous eleven herbs and spices.
RATIONALE
As Mando Fried Porg grew to become the second largest fast food restaurant chain in the galaxy, it became apparent that the increasing quantities of Porg meat needed to meet demand could not reliably be met by traditional local sourcing. The Directors of MFP decided to vertically integrate their business model by establishing an overarching corporate entity to raise and process the required volumes of Porg meat and secure the quality for their 'Beskar Lickin Good' fried Porg.
As the volume of processed Porg meat was too large for any one facility it was decided that four regions would be established. Each with a regional mega-processing plant and a network of smaller facilities. This ensured continuity of product if any one region were to suffer a production interruption. To keep processing costs to a minimum, locations were secured along or near to major hyperlane routs for ease of transport and on planets that either had a climate conducive to the Porgs needs or on established industrial worlds with existing infrastructure and were heavily automated. Again, to reduce production costs and ensure a reliable, good quality product.
