  • Stealth is the entire design of this ship, from the hull to myriad of scanners and scanner jammers.
  • Aside from stealth, speed is the ships main defense.
  • In dire circumstances, power can be diverted from scanners to the shields.
  • Engine Baffles cover some of the ion signature.
  • Blackout lights for loitering purposes.
  • Durinium impregnated hull helps block sensor scans, especially paired with Reflec coating.
  • Long range scanning capabilities.

  • No offensive weaponry.
  • Not a combat oriented vessel, meant to go unnoticed.
  • Shields are not typically at full power, and must have power directed to them to be effective.
  • Forward mounted defensive cannons have limited view directly aft.
  • Baffles only useful for covering adjustments or low output burns, not for constant use.
  • Blackout lights can produce hazards in some area's of the ship.
  • Durinium Alloy hull and Reflec coating make the ship much harder to find if lost, or damaged. Allies may not be able to come to it's aid in time without guidance.
  • Can be found if long range scans are pinpointed.

Crewed by no less than 450 people, this vessel comes from an effort to extend the abilities of resource survey groups, spies, and sabotage missions for the Agents of Chaos. The wishes of those parties were extended to the engineer's of the Scintilla, and a number of different groups came together to make some part of the dream a reality. With a Durinium impregnated Durasteel hull, the vessel is capable of shirking most scans to avoid it's cargo content being targeted. It comes with the price of allied vessels having a much harder time identifying the ship, but security for those on board was paramount.

The Reflec coating was a last minute addition to the vessel, a late night dive from one of the affiliated engineers into materials garnering an interest in the coating with initial tests showing the aided sensor jamming when paired with Durinium. An effort was made to make it both dark, and slightly reflective to mimic the stars and scenery it passed through. While not perfect, reflecting starlight works best, as the ship cannot actively camouflage.

A custom hyperdrive of Madilon base was constructed for the ship, needing more room for the number of sensor systems that are laden within the vessel. Even with the heavy reliance on sensor space, it maintains a cargo capacity of roughly 4,000 metric tons, and consumables to last 8 months. More than plenty for any length of time spent loitering in a system for information gathering, or geological survey. With a hangar capacity for a starfighter squadron along with support vessels, it has the capability to equip a small defensive detachment, or a large survey detachment.

Engine baffles along with blackout lights were an early addition, a dual purpose for loitering missions both benign and illicit to avoid pirates, or the law. If spotted however, the baffles retract from the 5 Brightstar engines, set in the rear of the vessel. The ship is powered by 7 scaled Quadex power cores, giving it a blistering speed for it's size, able to outrun most vessels that give chase. These are required not only for the engines, but also the sensor systems aboard the vessel. Powering a large slew of offensive weaponry was seen as superfluous, as it was designed for stealth. The designers did however deign to equip it with dual laser point defense cannons mounted at the nose.
