SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:

 • Weaponry: The S.Q.U.A.D. is an excellent option to support combat groups on missions with its weaponry, sporting two light blaster cannons and a light beam weapon capable of taking on not only infantry but light vehicles as well.

 • Anti-Slicing Features: A socketguard works to keep the units protected from slicing, with the goal being to prevent it being turned against its original user.

 • Magno-Clasp Modularity: Several magno-clasps are included in the design to allow for high levels of modularity, allowing the user to adjust and shape the droid to fit their personal preference or task.
Weaknesses:

 • EMP & Ion Weaponry: The S.Q.U.A.D. contains no shielding against EMPs, and it is very weak to ion weaponry, leaving them extremely vulnerable against the classic anti-droid methods.

 • Lacking in Armor: The base droid available for sale is armored only by the components used to create it, alusteel and durasteel. While these provide some protection, actual weaponry and especially projectiles can be significantly effective in taking it down, along with EMP and ion weaponry.

 • Beam Limitations: The beam isn’t a guaranteed victory weapon, being limited in targeting angle to 70 degrees in any direction. In addition it can only be activated for a continuous 4 second period and requires a 30 second period after use in order to recharge before it can be fired again.

 • Language Limitation: Units for sale can only ‘speak’ back to users in droid binary, requiring the operator to be familiar with the language in order to understand it or utilize a datapad to see information relayed back by the droid.
DESCRIPTION

Designed to fill not only companion but extra armament roles for defensive and offensive purposes, the Solo Quadrupedal Universal Assault Droid (shortened S.Q.U.A.D.) is diminutive in size, but by no means is it a pushover in a combat role. Carrying two light blaster cannons on its left and right, it can put out solid levels of firepower on a target. What’s special about it however is the miniaturized light beam cannon tucked into its torso unit. The weapon takes up considerable space in its body, built out of dallorian alloy to keep down heat buildup, but with a 70 degree range of fire all around, it’s a deadly option to turn loose despite the 30 second recharge time between uses.

A key component of the droid is the magno-clasps attached to its torso and side racks. These allow for a high degree of modularity based on the user’s preference or their deployment option. They can be used to attach containers for storage and ground transport of equipment or goods, extra automated weaponry to further increase its potential fire output, or even nonstandard metal plating of various kinds to increase its defensive abilities. Users should be aware however that adding extra weight to the droid puts a significant strain on its actuators and joints, and not to exceed standard weight limits. In addition to external additions the internals of the S.Q.U.A.D. can be adjusted for less martial needs, with the beam weapon’s structure able to be removed and replaced with a variety of utility tools.
