Description: Vermin Actual is an extended asset of the Republic’s main military force that operates primarily in small squads of five individuals, tasked with countering high-risk threats to the political growth of the Republic, as well as its leaders. Vermin Actual is primarily comprised of Non-Force Users but does not shun the notion of Jedi bolstering its ranks for more effective mission results. While operating completely under Republic code of conduct, Vermin Actual also functions as an off-the-record agency tasked to carry out low-profile reconnaissance in order to gain vital information and intelligence, along with experimental procedures that aim to produce a more efficient soldier. Candidates of this program are typically handpicked from special forces veterans, or those displaying an adept level of skill and aptitude in the field. The process after induction starts with mandatory physical reconditioning, to render the subject’s body fully sustainable for a series of cybernetic implants.

Combat Function: Elite offensive/defensive division tasked with the protection of all Republic officials, assets, and interests. Vermin Actual also supports and works in tandem with its Jedi allies.
Strengths:
Vermin Actual trains its candidates to be as adaptive as possible, being taught to adopt enemy tactics and strategy to better mold themselves to think as their opposition does. This also allows for the experience to blend in and gain more information for future assignments.
While small in number, Vermin Actual is granted opportunity to focus on its low quantity in order to yield more experienced and tight-knit squadmates. This allows for more seamless cooperation and cohesion to ensure mission success.
Being primarily trained in guerrilla warfare, Vermin Actual comes across as highly tactical and coordinated when assessing a threat. Aware of their relatively marginalized capacity, Vermin Actual does not take risks and instead consults all realms of probability in order to determine a realistic success ratio.
Weaknesses:
Vermin Actual faces the reality of high death rate, and due to their small numbers, replacing lost skill sets and technology would be quite difficult.
Due to their shady nature and hushed existence, Vermin Actual is at risk for potential corruption within its ranks. Being exposed to foreign agencies and bodies of government could one day yield compromise and damage to the Republic’s military as a whole, given the high-rank and influence of Special Forces.
With the current state of the Republic, large-scale war is not a bargain that can be made. This limits the resources and the functionality of the military as a whole. Funding for weaponry and technology is not a luxury that can be chanced upon. Lives are finite, as are the means of the armed forces.
Historical Information:
Due to recent developments within the Republic, as well as externally, a decision was made to introduce a new means of combating/assessing threats across the galaxy. With low morale and after having to bear the weight of heavy losses on board a refugee life vessel, a line was drawn. No longer could the Republic and its defenders stand idle and allow hostile entities to run amok without consequence.
Where terror and tyrannical power holds steadfast, Vermin Actual is intended to be the Republic’s scalpel; to cut the arteries and tendons of opposition, to cripple those that wish to force their hand upon what remains of the Republic government. Unafraid to do the dirty work in order to sustain the philosophy and beliefs of a democratic society.
