TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Swordstaff
  • Size: Large
  • Weight: Heavy
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Two Weapons:
    • The Runic Sorcerer Blade comes equipped with both a dagger and sword that can be separated from the sword staff variant into two different weapons. Allowing the operator to store the weapon more easy by splitting it in half.
  • Dark Alchemy & Runes:
    • Due to the Alchemy and Force Imbued of the Weapon by Darth Mordheim. The Sorcerer Blade can withstand lightsaber blows and can bounce back blaster projectiles much like a lightsaber. The blade itself is extremely sharp and can cut through most materials much like a lightsaber, and retains that sharpness. The Weapon can absorb force lightning and then release the charged up electricity once struck upon an object. It also has several sith runes upon it that back up the sith alchemy with more levels of protection and provide more durability against force imbued weapons that an opponent might have.
  • Boost of the Force:
    • It provides a significant boost within the force by expanding there Personal Force Reservoir which refers to how much a Force user could perform their Force powers before fatigue or other inabilities. Allowing Darth Mordheim the ability to use more force abilities in combat than would otherwise be physically possible and lessens the chance of fatigue from using them. The weapon also serves as a focus for the dark energies of its wielder, amplifying their power and refining their control of it until they become a walking nexus of power.
  • Sword of the Undead:
    • As the Sword of a Necromancer, Darth Mordheim has imbued the blade with the power of Sith Necromancy allowing the summoning and maintaining of vast armies of the undead against his opponents on the battlefield considerably easier than simply using his own power within the force to accomplish this. Has a safeguard against his undead armies simply being destroyed by the light side or being countered by sith skilled in necromancy, the sword grants some level of protection to the undead raised by mordheim. While not completely protecting them from the light side of the force, it does make it considerably harder for them to dispatch his legions with due ease.
STRENGTHS
  • Sharpness: [The blade can cut through many materials with relative ease, the same materials as lightsabers. The blade does not lose its sharpness due to alchemy]
  • Force Boosting: [The weapon expands the Personal Force Reservoir of the Wielder, allowing them to perform more force powers in combat without suffering from fatigue]
  • Necromancy Assistance: [The weapon assistant the user in the conjuration of the undead and provides protection from counter necromancy]
  • Two Weapons in One: [The weapon can be split into two different weapons to better allow for storage, and allow an opportunity for dual wielding]
  • Sith Sword Properties: [The weapon has many of the same attributes as a Sith Sword, such has protection from lightsabers, blast back blaster projectiles, increased durability, focus point of the dark side within the user, absorbing force lightning]
WEAKNESSES
  • The Light Side of the Force: [As the weapon is a dark side sword, the powers of the light side can affect it considerably. As such very powerful light side abilities can destroy the weapon if they come from a powerful enough user such as force light]
  • Void Stone and Ysalamiri Bubble: [Much like all force weaponry, the presence of force nullification makes this weapon practically have no benefit other than as a melee weapon. It is unable to grant the special features as mentioned above, although the wielder can still split the weapon in two and cause some form of damage to an opponent].
  • Dark Side Aura: [As the weapon is a dark side weapon, it radiates with the power of the dark side and that allows it to be more detectable if someone is searching for it. This can be reduced by force scattering the weapon's dark aura into other objects to better have a chance of being undetected]
  • Largeness: [Although it can be split into two, its main configuration is a sword staff, which is both heavy and large. Making using this weapon against a fast and nimble opponent almost impossible to accomplish, and the weight can sometimes be a problem because readjusting the staff to block an incoming strike can be difficult if the wielder has over swung.]
DESCRIPTION

Forged as a weapon of power for the Necromancer of the Abyss, Darth Mordheim by his various weaponsmiths within his fortress known as the Fortress of Mist. After facing both the Jedi Master Valery Noble Valery Noble and the Ashlan Crusader Solan Halcyon Solan Halcyon in combat on Mancharakorkon and Aroura specifically, the need for a stronger weapon was burned within the back of his mind. A simple lightsaber wouldn't do as now everyone within the galaxy had a lightsaber of some kind, looking through his personal archives within his fortress. Mordheim would discover the designs of various sith swords that would suit his needs and act as a focusing catalyst for his power, as even he couldn't hold back the ravaging power of the dark side forever. He could at least attempt to redirect some of his power within a blade that could channel the dark side into a weapon that could harm his foes given enough time. Making his way to his ship and traveling throughout the galaxy until he landed on the planet of Yavin IV, which had undiscovered sith temples built for Exar Kun and various other ruins on the world that belonged to the Ancient Sith Empire underneath the rule of the reclusive but powerful sith emperor vitiate. Fighting off a sith battle hydra that ventured to close to the tomb, mordheim almost lost his life to the beast which only increased his drive to move forward and claim a weapon of power from within the tombs of the world. Discovering an ancient sith sword within the rubble that no doubt belonged to a powerful sith lord, he took it back to his fortress to begin reconstructing the weapon in his own image.

Laying it on the table and having his weaponsmiths gather around him, he explained exactly what he wanted to turn this weapon into. Since his main power was within the domain of sith necromancy, he had wanted the blade to act as a boosting agent for his force powers and specifically helping him maintain a large undead army without it crumbling around him. Imbuing some of his power into the blade while it was still cooling the blade has a strong connection to the elderly sith lord and only he can wield it effectively on the battlefield to its fullest potential. Naming the newly created weaponry the "Runic Swordstaff of the Necromancer" after his personal set of armor that he had crafted a considerable long time ago, the "Runic Armor of the Necromancer". As the blade was now finished within his hand, the power within swirled around his palm in black and white flashes Mordheim could feel the immense power of the blade pouring into himself and helping him ease the burden of having such an elderly form. Having gained a new weapon to cause terror within the region, he would lock it away in storage much like he did with his armor, only taking it from storage after his narrow victory against the ashlan crusader and the jedi master, with him using his undead minions against them to ensure his own victory.

Although the weapon has several benefits such has, boosting his force reservoir and allowing him to more easy summon the dead without overextending himself. The blade functions mostly just like an upgraded sith sword but it does the job effectivity enough that it has gained its own unique flare. As the weapon is in reality, two weapons it can be split into both a short dagger that can parry a blade and a sword which can be used to attack an opponent in quick and powerful slashes. The weapon also comes with its flaws in that the light side is still a critical weakness and is able to destroy the blade with a powerful enough ability, the weapon it also large and heavy within its swordstaff mode and that hinders the effectiveness in a combat situation as overextending the reach could lead to his downfall. Much like any dark side weapon that is made by a considerably powerful force user, it has a dark aura around it that can locate it and its wielder if a person is so happens to be looking for it. As with any weapon made with the force, force nullification situations will render the blade almost entirely normal and leave it without its abilities, although it still can function as an effective weapon in the right hands.
