Sorr Kortu

Socially Awkward Smuggler
Location: Makeb, Talaos City

Makeb is a beautiful world, one of the most economically thriving planets in the Galaxy. Sorr had visited Makeb at least twice, his Dad was forming alliances with the bankers of Makeb and even bought Sorr his own bank account complete with a heft sum of credits when Sorr turned 18. The problem with that was while Sorr did turn 18, he ran away from home so he could start on an adventure and chose the life as a smuggler. While Sorr had steady pay, it wasn't enough to make ends meet and his ship was falling apart.

"Perhaps," Sorr muttered to himself while he walked through the marketplace. "That I could go to the bank and ask for it. The Makeb bank does keep transactions between their clients private."

The young man sighed; he definitely was not going to steal the money perish the thought! But it wouldn't hurt to ask for the money that belonged to him..... right?

Saya had visited many, many different planets during her childhood. A benefit of being the child of a wandering Forcer. For someone who was such a homebody, her dad had been quite the traveler. It seemed that wanderlust could not be denied. Not by him, and certainly not by Saya. She was probably the worst of them all when it came to that. She's never been able to sit still, and in her father's old corvette she'd been traveling through Outer Rim towards the Core Worlds, simply out of a desire to see what was between here and there. So far, it was a whole lot of nothing, which, in a way, was beautiful in and of itself. But Saya needed some real food after weeks aboard the Revenant.

With a full stomach, and smile on her face, Saya made her way back to the spaceport. She'd considered renting a room a hotel for the evening, sleeping in a real bed, but it seemed a waste of money when she had a space on the ship. On the pad adjacent to hers was another ship, held together by duct tape and spit it looked like. Saya marvelled at how it even managed to take off as she approached the juncture between the two pads, pausing to gape at it as her mechanic's eyes flitted across it's hull. Oh...that was...that was a major hazard.

"Hey!" the zeltron called to the man standing at the foot of the landing bay, walking towards him. "Is this your ship?" she asked.

Sorr looked at the woman who was curiously staring at the Tiaza's Purr. "You like it?" He said. "It doesn't look like much but lemme tell ya she can fly!" If there was one thing Sorr was proud of, it was his piloting skills and his knowledge on Starships. His Dad wouldn't even let him touch a Speeder let alone a Starship. He can't imagine the look on his face when he sees Sorr flying through the stars.

"I've flown this bad girl through asteroid fields and even in Sith space," Sorr said pride filling his tone. "Without even a scratch! You can call me Sorr Kortu! Best pilot in the Galaxy!"

Saya didn't look particularly impressed by Sorr's introduction. Or his ship for that matter, not that the Revenant wasn't a rusting bucket of bolts. But at least she wasn't falling apart at the seams. "Well Sorr, your ship's fuel converter is busted," Saya said, pointing at a metal block sticking from the side of the ship...where it most likely should not have been sticking out of. "You take her out of low-atmo and you won't be able to land her again. At least, not without blowing the ship, yourself, your crew, and all your cargo into space dust."

Saya glanced back over at the ship, in all her tattered glory. Whoever was that ship's mechanic either took great pride in their work or none at all, and honestly, the fact that either of those two options were just as plausible as the other impressed Saya. "I dunno who your mechanic is, but you might wanna tell 'em to patch that hole before you all get vented."
