# Ruku's skill with his twin shoto style lightsabers is excellent. This is due to the unique design of the lightsabers accompanied by his unorthodox fighting style which he developed from the hours he spent studying Jedi (and later Sith) holocrons.

Appearance:
Ruku wears a customised variant of the Coruscant Underworld Police body armour. Most of the customisations are functional and unnoticeable, such as reduced weight and semi-functional electroshock gloves. One of only noticeable customisations is the yellow panels that have been painted black. Ruku has short unkempt ginger hair and short stubble.
Biography:
Ruku was a promising youngling showing great skill with his lightsaber and perception with the Force, however he always struggled with the physical application of the Force. Because of this he focused himself on studying and developing the basic lightsaber forms.
As Ruku was to be assigned a Master it became apparent to the Jedi Council of Ruku's feelings towards certain Jedi practice's and principles. This led the Council to consider the possibility of corruption by the Dark Side of the Force. Because of ever looming threat of the Sith in the pre-Clone Wars the Jedi Order felt strongly about not wanting someone so talented to be tainted by the Dark Side. Because of this the young Ruku was assigned to Master Yoda and his apprenticeship began.
Because of his Masters use of a shoto style lightsaber, and because of his studies, Ruku created two twin shoto style lightsabers as opposed to one of a more regular size. The blade of the lightsabers was green, to match Yoda's, and only extended roughly 18 inches from the hilt. With his new unique lightsabers Ruku began to create his own amalgamation of various lightsaber forms. The resulting fighting style was extremely fast, precise, deadly and focused heavily on the Trákata technic.
As Ruku continued his training he became more opposed to certain Jedi restrictions and teachings and would often openly argue and voice his opinions, often citing the teachings of the Sith or Fallen Jedi. As Master Yoda attempted to steer Ruku onto a true Jedi path, it only pushed him further away.
Ruku began to view the Jedi and Sith as two different forms of evil. In Ruku's eyes both were corrupt, dangerous and the cause of most problems in the galaxy. He also had major issues with the Jedi teaching truth and honesty yet banning all Dark Side teachings.
Ruku's decision to leave the Jedi Order was finalised at the start of the Clone Wars. A war in which the Jedi were just as culpable as the Sith and the Separatists.
Since leaving he has been studying both Light and Dark side teachings trying to find a true and balanced Jedi path.
