+Athletic: Unlike most of his species, he sees it as weakness to allow oneself to become lazy and corpulent. Thus, he has kept up a regimen that makes him mostly muscle rather than a fat slug like his fellow Hutts.
+Mental Resistance: Like other Hutts, and Toydarians, Rugilla has a high resistance to mental Force abilities like Jedi Mind Tricks.
+Business Acumen: Rugilla is ruthless, manipulative, and silver-tongued. He has all the skills of a good Hutt crime lord, and subsequently a good businessman. In Hutt society, the two are often one and the same.
WEAKNESSES
-Paranoid: As with other Hutts, Rugilla is iron-handed in his grip on power. He fears to loose that power, and has paranoid perceptions about preparedness for someone trying a coup against him.
-Greedy: If there was any fault that Rugilla has, it would be his pursuit of wealth and possessions. He can be pursuaded if he gets something worth his time in return.
-Slave Driver: Rugilla participants in the institution of slavery. He naturally thinks that most other lifeforms are beneath him. This blatant practice puts him at odds with anyone who is an abolitionist.
In many ways, Rugilla is your typical Hutt. Greedy, power hungry, and conniving as they come. But unlike his fellows, he does not believe in just living in a sedentary existence. He sees himself as akin to an apex predator, top of the food chain and no regrets in taking the lives of others to satisfy his lust for power and wealth.
BIOGRAPHY
Being born different among a superstitious people is often a death sentence. As was the case when Rugilla Qunaalac Borbon first wriggled out of his father's brood pouch. Black skin was not unheard of, but certainly was not commonplace. Yet, despite efforts to kill the Huttlet, he was resilient, earning the respect of his uncle, the lorda of the Qunaalac kajidic.
The Qunaalacs were one of many ancient Hutt kajidics, with a famous member in Marlo the Hutt from the Clone Wars era. The clan was highly militaristic, and Rugilla decided to embrace their heritage as warriors. Rather than becoming fat and sedentary, Rugilla began a lifestyle of active hunting, martial arts, and athleticism. He also started a trade into black market arms dealing, and information brokering.
Up until recently, he had quietly waited and watched for an opportune moment. His uncle was getting older, nearing 900 years. As Black Sun came looking for Hutt allies, Rugilla saw his chance. He made allegiance to the Black Sun, with a favor in return. With a combined force of his own warriors and Black Sun operatives, Rugilla overthrew and killed his uncle. After some purges of dissident elements, Rugilla claimed a grasp over his kajidic and has chosen to stick with Black Sun, proudly tattooing its glyph across his abdomen. In thanks for helping achieve his power, he is willing to help most Black Sun efforts....within reason and if they keep their noses put of his businesses.
