- Blade of Champions: The Average Rubat Crystal Great Lightsaber possesses massively greater cutting power than regular Kyber Lightsabers, or even some other varieties of Lightsabers with Crystals that specifically enable the Lightsaber to cut Conventional Materials faster, especially if they are Ancient and have been in operation for a long time. Even Materials traditionally resistant to Lightsabers are under slightly great threat, including Cortosis. They can be especially deadly at blade locks, where their sheer power has a chance to easily break Regular Lightsabers (Though this will take slightly longer than normal Great Lightsabers with Kybers in them). If bled, they often gain the ability to absorb energy from Dark Nexuses, rejuvenating the user. Rubat Crystal Great Lightsabers have very slightly higher swing and stab speeds than other Great Lightsabers
- Attunement: Once Attuned, the Rubat will produce a blade that has a color best reflecting it's owner's nature, and The Owner may become better able to sense incoming attacks from farther away than with normal Lightsabers, as well as grind lightning in much greater amounts than regular Lightsabers could. Especially Ancient examples are so powerful that they can not only grind greater amounts of lightning than normal, but use it to infuse the blade with momentary electrical damage, through great Concentration on the part of the user. Bled Examples often allow users to sense Light Side Adepts more easily
- Deflector: Like it's smaller counterpart, Great Lightsaber blades can deflect blaster bolts. Especially Ancient or long Used examples have slightly greater chances of redirecting blaster bolts from the front
- Apocalypse Proof: Their heavy duty, often ornate construction causes them to hold up immensely well over time. Even very ancient examples are massive work horses that are very difficult to damage and function almost as well as when they were first Forged
- Variety: Rubat Crystal Great Lightsabers come in only two variants normally, due to rarity, size, and power requirements.
Long Handle Great Lightsaber: Found almost exclusively at special altars within Ancient Temples, often as an antenna to channel the Force. Often Ceremonial Pieces due to their Size. Only someone of great strength and size could take full advantage of it. Slightly less Ornate than other examples. Sometimes has special grooves in the hilt to allow it to function as the elaborate hand crank to a large gate

WEAKNESSES
- Cortosis: Pure Cortosis will still shut one of these monsters down for a few precious minutes until it can be reset
- Swing Speed: Due to the much more powerful gyroscopic effect, it has only three fifths the swing and stab speed of a regular Lightsaber for people of ordinary strength and four fifths the swing and stab speed if someone is of the proper strength. If bled, it's already lowered swing speed lowers even further by a very slight amount
- Breakage Chance: While it could tank blows from an ordinary Lightsaber, Synth Crystal Lightsaber blades still have a very, very slight chance (about half what they would have against a regular Lightsaber) to break it, though this is a reduced chance if the Rubat of the blade has been bled. The breakage chance increases, however, and at much higher than that of regular Kyber Great Lightsabers, if up against a synth powered Great Lightsaber. There's a reason Rubats got replaced by Kybers. Ancient examples are also slightly more fragile than normal, and require slightly more repairs
- Sonics: Sonic bolts travel around the blade
- Slugthrowers: Bullets melt against the blade on contact, potentially causing splash damage on the user
- Acquisition: The Simplest way to acquire one is to build it, because if you want the potency of more Ancient or long used examples, you will find these blades much more highly secured and difficult to obtain in more Heavily booby trapped tombs or dungeons than even with Regular Great Lightsabers, or in the hands of highly experienced, lethal power duelists who will not part with their blade easily (and certainly never willingly). As Rubats have been nearly totally supplanted, they are also more difficult to find IC
Much more rare than normal Lightsabers, Great Lightsaber examples are few and far between, but are the source of countless legends on many worlds for their extreme cutting strength and the necessity of being wielded by only the largest or strongest warriors. Capable of attuning to their owners very intensely and granting a variety of effects as a result, encountered examples are often locked away in more than normal secure areas, or in the hands of very deadly power duelists of great skill. The best way to get one is build it. Can come in nearly any color. Rubat Crystal Great Lightsabers are celebrated for their ease of movement and tracking in combat, and Rubat Crystals were once the crystal of choice in the Jedi Order before Ilum and it's Kybers stole the show, and today almost no Lightsaber, great or otherwise, uses Rubats, as Kybers are much more reliable.
Excellent as starting heirloom weapons for new pcs, advanced reward loot for dungeons, or after encounters with Lethal Warriors.
