- The Ruaden Armor is designed to enhance the strength and potency of the dark side Force powers of the sorcerer wearing it. Various Sith artifacts have been forged and embedded into pieces of the armor to grant certain enhancements and sources of power and focus for the equipped Sith or Dark Jedi to draw upon. In addition to these enhancers, two uncommonly seen artifacts, a Shield Talisman and a Healing Amulet, are also embedded into the armor for emergency use for the Sith in combat.
- A common feature mandated by the Lady of Secrets, the armor is equipped with a storage and recharging dock for support drones developed by Aurora Industries for the soldiers use in the field for greater flexibility and versatility while in a combat scenario.
- The armor was developed using alchemically altered ultrachrome and sarrassian iron to create a powerful defense against lightsabers and other standard weapon types the sorcerer might encounter while in combat.
- The embedded Talismans of Concentration have been altered by Order of Arcane Syn alchemists to absorb dark side energies and Force powers directed at the equipped sorcerer, giving them enhanced protection from rival dark siders.
- If the sorcerer passes through a ysalamiri void bubble or a Force suppression field generated by voidstone, the various amulets and talismans embedded in the armor will lose all potency and will require being recharged with dark side Force energies to be used again.
- While the armor has an average protection from ionic and EMPs, such weaponry can short out the drone dock and the attached drone, eliminating their use until the systems can be rebooted, or if the damage is severe enough, until they can be repaired out of combat.
- Like many armor systems in the galaxy at present, the Dorocha Armor can do little if hit with a disruptor weapon as it breaks down the molecular bonds of the armor itself.
- Exposure to powerful light side energies, such as a potent application of Force Light, can strip the armor and its various amulets of any benefits granted by the dark side.
With the continued evolution and growth of her power base, Darth Arcanix had begun reviewing and outfitting her personal followers with new equipment. With the new iteration of the Medhir Armor being fielded to her non-Force using ground forces and the Dorocha Armor entering production for her covert operatives, a focus turned to designing a new armor for Sith sorcerers that followed the Sith Lady and used their skills on the battlefield. Making use of the facilities of Vulcan Foundries, the artificers of the Order of Arcane Syn created the new Ruaden Armor.
Designed using ultrachrome and sarrassian iron altered through the use of Sith alchemy to strengthen its protective qualities against lightsabers and energy weapons, the armor provides a high degree of protection for the wearer. The armor also utilizes other features from the other armor systems developed for the Lady of Secrets and her forces, giving the sorcerers equipped with a degree of technological versatility. However, the artificers under her command also went ahead and further enhanced the armor using their arts. Talismans of concentration were added in to provide reservoirs of dark side power for the sorcerer to draw upon, while altered Qixoni crystals and Katak crystals were used to provide enhancements to certain powers channeled through the gauntlets of the armor. A Sith amulet to enhance the potency of the Sith magic of the wielder was also included in the right gauntlet.
