Iona Immarya
That One Padawan
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Strengths:
The XV-1 Memory Diskette was designed to be implemented into the various droid drones that were going to be pushed out by the Republic Remnant, small, agile but 'dumb' droids capable of providing squad support. Because of this, they wanted a droid that could be 'controlled' by the squad command if needed and so a remote receiver and information matrix center was added to allow this. It was made heat resistant to better work in more hostile environments as well as help build in a redundancy to protect it from any potential overheating that may occur from system malfunction. However, the Diskette is not an advanced piece of equipment, any droid with this Diskette is about as simple as simple can be. They can only preform their primary loaded duties and are incapable of learning from their mistakes, growing independent streaks, void of any sense of self preservation or threat assessment. The Memory Diskette is a cheap, almost disposable, droid brain meant to be attached to an equally cheap and disposable droid.

Strengths:
- Remote Receiver - Any droid that has a XV-1 Memory Diskette has the capability to be controlled from an external source, usually, a central computer system or uplink device carried by a nearby unit.
- Heat Resistant - Thanks to its insulfoam, the Diskette is more resistant to high temperatures and possible overheating.
- Simple Is As Simple Does - The Diskette, and so droid that has it, is very simple and cheap. It does not require many memory wipes, or much in the way of maintenance, to keep from acting independent as it is a fairly 'dumb' droid.
- Simple Is As Simple Does - Any droid with an XV-1 Memory Diskette is not winning any awards. Such a droid is going to be very basic, not capable of doing much outside of its primary duties and lacks a sufficient logic matrix to learn from its mistakes or properly do threat assessment.
- Hello Back Door - Thanks to its Remote Receiver, a droid with an XV-1 Memory Diskette is very vulnerable to slicers as the remote uplink can be hijacked or interrupted allowing someone with the skills to take control of the droid from a distance.
- Fire Ion Beams - The XV-1 Memory Diskette is not Ion protected and any sufficient Ion surge will either deactivate or fry the diskette.
