RP Offer

Okay, I'm looking for Jedi characters to RP with. Silver Jedi Order or GA preferably since I don't know many allied characters yet.

I had this idea where we investigate a derelict facility on Corellia that was into medical experiments on the brains of Dark Siders, particularly their behavioral centers. A Jedi Shadow type would be especially nice as Maple was once a shadow and being in close proximity WILL drudge up bad experiences...which is great for drama!

Any silver jedi or GA Jedi interested?

Feel free to send me more details in PM if you like or keep me tagged in here. I'm intrigued by what you're hoping to come up with. Also, if you're looking to tag someone you need to type out their full account name. Just typing their first part of their name won't do it.

For the sake of hopefully drawing others in, lets keep it on this thread, Kyle Ajahn Thanks for showing interest!

Premise: Whole groups of people have made their careers trying to figure out how to turn Force Adepts to the Dark Side. Be it seduction, conversion by torture, or alchemical sciences designed to twist both body and soul.

Long ago, some enterprising combination of scientists, the head researcher of which was trying to figure out how to turn his own wife back to the light sought the reverse. As he was no force user himself, he had only his science to aid him. His wife had been turned into a knight of ren, and he had barely escaped her search for him. He spent years paying bounty hunters to capture Dark Jedi for him, so he could study their brains behavior centers during active use of the Dark Side. The surgeries, brutal and illegal in the extreme, began soon after. He hoped that by altering the brain itself and how it processed emotion, he could drastically reduce the Brain's ability to tap the Dark Side, even if it desperately wanted to. He also made significant--and bloody--efforts to discover whether sheer brute intimidation and torture could force a dark sider to give up the Dark Side. He never did find that magical fix that would deliver his wife back to the light, and he reluctantly killed her himself in the end, but his research was preserved in old computers deep within the site. But the pain he inflicted on his subjects has left its mark in the form of strong imprints in the force that are riddled with pain, as well as security systems designed specifically to capture other force users. If the nice guys want to know any insight the scientist gained, even if only to keep it from the hands of their enemies, they have to run the gauntlet of a highly secure, deadly, and abandoned underground...with a crazy bounty hunter interested in the research for her own ongoing issues.

[member="Maple Harte"] - You're not going to find a ton of anything Dark Side related left on Corellia, with the Confederation and League having been in operation for a number of years now. Something that strong and radiating such things in the Force is almost sure to have been found and cleaned up by now. I only point this out as I've had the focus of this character and a lot of my RP be the restoration and cleansing of that planet the past year or so. The premise is a great one, your location of Corellia might just not fit as you think. I have a few other suggestions if you'd like, should work great. A few of them you could also tie to Corellia if you have story reasons to connect to the culture.

[member="Maple Harte"] But I'm just a dirty Republic Plebeian Jedi. :(

But, yes, I would love to participate. Iona would be more then happy to stop such a man's experiments, regardless of his intentions.

EDIT: If you want to tag someone, you have to type @[Their Full Name, no [] ] or you can push the @Mention under their picture, and it will do it for you.

[member="Maple Harte"] Yeah, no problem! Here to help and what not. Another good one is if you go to your profile, then to edit, under profile settings, at the very bottom, there should be a 'Roleplay Information' section that will say 'Character Bio Link' if you paste your character bio in that box and then save it, it will show up above the mention button so anyone can click on it to see your character's bio. Super useful as people make a lot of characters so your's can get buried and be a pain in the rear to find.

We still need a good alternative planet to set this in, ...I've been researching but I found (To my utter delight) that you guys make a TON! Any suggestions?
