From Out of The Ashes
The Royal Naboo Defense Force was formed in the aftermath of some of Naboo's most challenging years. From the Cataclysm that left Theed and the Gungan Kingdom in ruins, to the attack by The Unblessed that spread fear and sickness across the populace, Naboo's recent history has been marked by survival in the face of overwhelming adversity.

Once the realization hit that they could no longer rely solely on outside powers for protection, the RDF was commissioned to ensure that Naboo and the entirety of the RNR, would never again be left vulnerable.

The Royal Security Corps (RSC), which had long served as Naboo's primary line of defense, was thus reorganized into the Royal Naboo Defense Force (RNDF). However, it quickly became apparent that while the organization reflected Naboo's cultural values — a peaceful people who believed that diplomacy, art, and dialogue were more enduring defenses than warfare — it lacked the ability and structure to protect Naboo when faced with larger, militarized threats, and reforms were desperately needed if they hoped to survive.

Several swift reforms were implemented, including the expansion of military training programs and academies, the integration of advanced technologies, the establishment of specialized units, and a widespread recruitment campaign aimed at building a diverse and capable force.

Gradually, men and women from all corners of the galaxy and every walk of life answered the call. Former members of the Royal Security Forces, recruits from the Gungan Grand Army, veterans of the defunct Confederacy, and individuals from distant worlds seeking a brighter future for their families, all came together under a shared banner. Their unifying purpose: to ensure the security and prosperity of the Southern Systems and forge a safer tomorrow for all.

Organization and Units

Elite Royal Commandos
The Elite Royal Commandos (ERC) are a distinguished heavy infantry unit within the Royal Security Corps of the Royal Naboo Republic, established in response to the dire need for a specialized force capable of addressing the galaxy's most formidable threats. Formed from the finest members of the Corps, the ERC undergoes rigorous training to master advanced combat techniques, strategic thinking, and leadership skills at Commando Citadel.

Renowned for their versatility and combat effectiveness, they engage in frontline battles, execute high-risk missions, and provide critical protective details, often coordinating seamlessly with Shiraya's Vanguard to support Jedi-led operations. With unwavering dedication to their duty and an impressive reputation among both peers and citizens, the ERC embodies the Republic's commitment to safeguarding its values and citizens, standing ready to confront any challenge with unmatched courage and skill.

Shiraya's Vanguard
Shiraya's Vanguard is an elite special forces unit of the Royal Naboo Army, primarily composed of skilled Jedi Knights and Masters from the Order of Shiraya. Founded to address specialized military needs for the defense of Naboo, the Vanguard operates from Shiraya's Rest, a secure base near their sacred Sanctuary. Members are selected for their exceptional abilities and play crucial roles in executing military strategies, providing frontline defense, and neutralizing threats, often working alongside the Royal Army's Elite Royal Crusaders.

In addition to seasoned warriors, the Vanguard includes a group of gifted Padawans called Initiates, who are in the final stages of their training. They learn from experienced Jedi and contribute to the unit's operations while preparing for their eventual Knighthood. The Vanguard promotes a culture of equality among its members, led by a Commander elected by the unit, who collaborates with the Queen's Court and other military leaders. Overall, Shiraya's Vanguard embodies the principles of honor, duty, and the pursuit of peace, dedicated to protecting Naboo from any dangers.

The Royal Naboo Navy

Legacy of Heroes
The Royal Naboo Navy is the primary space warfare branch of the Royal Naboo Republic Military. Sworn to the protection of Naboo and its people, the Navy serves as both the first line of defense for the citizens of the Republic, as well as the frontline of its war against the darkness and dangers of the galaxy.

The revitalization of the Navy stems from a core of formerly Confederacy of Independent Systems naval officers born on Naboo, and the senior officers of the Royal Space Fighter Corp. These officers pooled their collective knowledge and experience to fortify the borders of the Naboo system against the chaos and devastation of the war between the Galactic Alliance and Sith Order, as well as to ward off the threat of other opportunistic enemies.

From this foundation of security first mindset, the origins for the Navy can be traced. With the Sovereign of Naboo directing them, the security forces of Naboo reorganized their disparate ships into a new entity. Building on the goal of security at all costs, the Royal Naboo Navy has adopted a defensive mindset, with cadets of the Royal Naval Academy swearing oaths to defend every inch of Republic space, no matter the cost.

Organization
The Royal Naboo Navy is overseen by the Lord Admiral of the Navy, the highest rank a naval officer can achieve, and one only granted by commendation and selection by the ruler of Naboo. The Lord Admiral oversees the broad goals and direction the Royal Naboo Navy take, and is the head of the Admiral's Court, made up of every officer of Admiral's rank within the Navy.

The Navy is subdivided into three distinct divisions. The first division is the Expeditionary Fleet. This formation is made up of squadrons of vessels dedicated to pushing beyond the boundaries of Royal Naboo Republic space. The most headstrong and reckless officers are selected to serve in the Expeditionary Fleet, and act as the tip of the spear of any Naboo offensive.

The second division is the Home Fleet. The largest division, the Home Fleet is charged with the defense of Naboo and all her allied worlds. Task forces and squadrons constantly patrol the extent of Naboo space, and any threat is countered with full force. The most seasoned and veteran officers in the Navy often captain Home Fleet ships, and are seen as the most levelheaded officers.

The third division is the Royal Starfighter Corp. The Royal Starfighter Corp is made up of the various starfighter squadrons employed by the navy. The Corp is further subdivided into numerous elite squadrons, squadrons dedicated to specific tasks, and squadrons formed entirely of Shiraya Jedi pilots. The Royal Starfighter Corp assigns detachments of their units to the other fleets as needed and acts as an independent first strike and patrol force.

Best of the Best
The Royal Naboo Navy maintains multiple naval academies to funnel new officers into its ranks, with the most prestigious being the Royal Naval Academy of Theed. Instruction in these academies is rigorous, with countless live fire exercises and high stress environments to ensure that by the end of their education, each cadet is ready to face the worst the galaxy can throw at them.

As Naboo begins to expand its reach across multiple worlds, the need to expand its fleet necessitates the acceptance of outsiders into its ranks. Thorough interviews and testing are conducted on all applicants seeking to the join the Naboo Royal Navy from outside the homeworld, with those passing the extended process going on to prove themselves as some of the most able in the entire navy.

The Royal Intelligence Bureau

"If you know your enemy's moves three steps before they make them, it won't matter how powerful they are."​

Semper Vigilantes
The Royal Intelligence Bureau (RIB) is the Republic's secret service agency with priority roles that range from domestic security to foreign intelligence operations. Royal Intelligence operatives are recruited from both of the Republic's Security Corps branches after the candidate portrays exemplary leadership and skill in the field. To that end, RIB agents are the best of the best.

In a turbulent galaxy where friends become foes overnight, the Republic needs accurate and reliable intelligence to make informed decisions on matters of national security, foreign affairs, and wartime strategy. Agents of the RIB are dedicated professionals who are sworn to behold the Republic safeguard its interests. RIB agents act with precision and integrity, accomplishing their duties to the highest degree of probity.

Organization
The Royal Intelligence Bureau is overseen by the Director of Secret Services, the highest level in the Bureau and one that requires both active service in the RIB and a special commendation from the monarch of Naboo. Second to the Director is the Deputy Director, who serves as the RIB's second-in-command and may inherit interim directorship should the Director be out of commission.

Graduated operatives are assigned to a cell and receive mission dockets from their respective officers. Planets and systems may contain a single cell or over a dozen, depending on population size and threat level. These cells form networks and are overseen by a Superintendent. The Superintendent is responsible for facilitating collaboration between cells by distributing mission dockets, forming joint task forces, and conducting inter-departmental operations. Networks of superintendents are overseen by Administrators, who in turn report to the Deputy Director.

To promote comprehensiveness, the Bureau assigns agents to divisions, specialized units with its own directive and focus. Domestic divisions such as the Theed Palace Guards and the Royal Assembly Commandos are tasked with safeguarding the Republic from within, while foreign divisions such as Counterintelligence undergo interstellar missions to protect the Republic from external threats.

Specialized Training
To ensure that its operatives perform at their best, the RIB maintains several training facilities across Naboo and its moons. Agents undergo a rigorous training program involving live fire drills, target elimination and asset recovery exercises, and counterintelligence simulations. By the end of their training, each RIB agent emerges as a hardened paladin of the Republic, able and willing to defend it from any threat.

While the RIB prefers to recruit internally from the Royal Navy and Defense Force, the Republic's steady expansion has caused the Bureau to seek outside candidates. After undergoing extensive background checks and examinations, accepted recruits are placed on probationary status and assigned to an active agent. The recruit must receive a commendation from their assigned agent in order to receive their credentials and enter the Bureau in full.
