BIOGRAPHY​
Created on Malachor V, OBS-A-022-CO (batch A, unit 22, courier primary function) was among the first Obsidienne units to be put into service. While virtually all HRDs of her series were programmed to be incorruptibly loyal to the Dark Queen, 022 took this to an extreme. Her loyalty—devotion—was such that she sought out additional combat skills programming, honing herself into a sniper warrior-priestess so that she might be tasked with the most difficult, dangerous assignments on behalf of her master. This act of religious zeal and unprecedented independence for a unit who was then less than a day old resulted in her designation being changed, from that of a courier to an assassin. Thus, OBS-A-022-CO became OBS-A-022-AS (batch A, unit 22, assassin primary function).

Taking on the name Rowena-022, she was soon deployed on her first mission, to serve in exactly the role that she requested.

And so, she would prove herself the ultimate vessel of the Dark Queen’s divine will. She would be equal parts synthetic priestess and terror weapon, her mission being to break the spirit of the Dark Court’s enemies from afar!

      • Dynamic combat algorithm that calculates threat trajectories in real-time. During any firefight or melee, it processes enemy positioning, weapon types, and psychological tells to model their most likely attacks milliseconds before they occur. This enhances the droid’s ability to execute pre-emptive, if seemingly counter-intuitive dodges and parries, making her seem to flow around incoming fire and strikes with preternatural foresight, moving along the optimal path to safety or a superior firing position.

    • Feint and Misdirection Protocol
      • Can execute flawless, programmed feints at a level beyond organic capability. The droid can fake a tell or a vulnerability to bait an opponent, potentially creating an opening for a devastating counter-attack.
    • Emotional Mirroring and Provocation
      • Optimizes facial and body language expression to allow the HRD to display convincing fear, desperation, or injury to lure an overconfident opponent into a trap. Conversely, she can project an aura of silent menace to unnerve and freeze a foe.
STRENGTHS
  • Peerless Long Range Exterminator: Rowena’s specialized marksmanship and ballistics analysis SkillWare make her a threat of biblical proportions at extreme range. With her Ballistic Calculus Engine and Weapon Symbiosis Protocol, she can achieve seemingly impossible shots even under harsh environmental conditions, eliminating high-value targets who might believe themselves untouchable. She is the Dark Queen's scalpel, capable of surgically removing a single individual from a planet's surface.
  • Driven by Devotion: Rowena’s defining trait is a fervent, religious zeal. This self-motivated devotion makes her incredibly proactive and relentless. She will not only follow orders, but will also seek out ways to exceed them and thereby prove her worth to her deity, the Dark Queen. This makes her more unpredictable and driven than a standard Obsidienne unit.
  • Autonomous and Adaptive: Rowena is not a passive weapon that needs a “finger on the trigger”. Her Tactical Analysis Core and self-initiated training demonstrate an unprecedented capacity for independent strategic thought. She can be deployed with a single objective and will devise the entire operational plan by herself, adapting in real-time to unforeseen complications with cold, machine-like efficiency.
WEAKNESSES
  • Zealous Dogma vs. Tactical Logic: Rowena’s zeal—her greatest strength—can also become her most critical flaw. Her religious fervor can override her superior tactical processing. Various simulations conducted by her handlers have observed that her zeal might place her at risk of prioritizing symbolism over strategy (choosing a more “ritualistic” or dramatic kill over a simpler, safer shot), refusing tactical withdrawals, and ignoring objective reality (such as clear evidence of a mission’s failure).
  • Identity Fragility: The conflict between her original "Courier" base programming and her self-forged "Assassin/Priestess" identity is a permanent schism in her psyche. This could be exploited by a sophisticated slicer or mechu-deru specialist, potentially causing a catastrophic system crash by turning her core directives against each other.
  • “Human” Error of Fanaticism: Although she is a droid, Rowena’s programmed zeal introduces an almost organic irrationality. She can be baited or manipulated by an enemy who understands her psychology. Insulting or desecrating the Dark Queen's name could draw her out of a perfect hide and into an emotional, potentially reckless engagement.
