Round 1 Yamato v. Lark

Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to the first annual Tournament of the Saber! For your viewing pleasure I offer a tournament unlike any you have ever seen before. A tournament that they will talk about for ages and write songs about our competitors and their talents. This will not be a simple sword fight, but will truly require our competitors to use everything including their minds to beat each other and only one will come out on top. Without further delay I bring you round 1!!!!

Round 1 is a test of imagination and stratagy. Everyone is armor less and wears a skin tight body suit. Even the bird. This suit has a tasty habit of changing into other outfits. In your hand is one sword each. This sword is the legendary Sword of the Jabberwocky. As you already know this sword can become your enemy, your friend or a nasty combination of the two. Both the suit and sword will be changed by me or Rofl at any point. By default it is a katana.

The field is not a field at all, but a dome. They are lined with seats for fans where you are not allowed to go fight. The ground is an ice ring so watch your step. Placed each competitors wrists are bracelets to nullify the Force. This brings even a Master on par with a padawan...kind of. The rules are, there are no rules, even death is permitted. If you should lose a limb or die, fear not for Tefka is great and you will leave healed. A loser, but healed. We shall mock and laugh at you, but at least you are alive right?

Lark

Saint of the Damned
Lark slid on the ice, getting a feel for the arena. His match was about to start. He stood in the arena like a Rancor stood in a zoo, a caged beast waiting to be unleashed. He twirled his katana around, gave it a few practice swings. For however long the weapon remained a blade, he'd fare well. He didn't mind the skin-tight suit, he was used to fighting in simple clothing that didn't offer much protection. And Lark was adaptable, when the weapon or armor changed he'd be able to alter his strategy on the fly.

He was pleased to discover that win or lose, there would be no downsides to entering the tournament. If he won he'd move on, and possibly come a step close to discovering what was going on in Luminoss. If he died, he'd be brought back. And he had always wondered what it would feel like to be killed. He had never died before, would it be cold? Bloody? Fast or slow? Would there be anything there in the few moments after his death and before Tefka revived him? The thought of it brought a sinister smile to his pale face.

Of course, he'd fight to win. He always did. He looked up at his first opponent, Lark had never seen him before. But he looked strong, Lark couldn't get to ahead of himself. Lark took his katana, and made a small cut on his finger. Weak, but enough to draw a drop of blood, and Lark felt not a bit of pain. The blood roused him, but he kept his composure, fixing his icy, hellish gaze on his opponent as the match was about to begin.
