- Jack of all Trades: The Roughrider Class Construction Vehicle has a high degree of modulation in its construction base, allowing for each vehicle to be customized to complete any possible job.
- Tank: The Roughrider vehicle is built heavy, and designed to handle all possible terrains it could be forced to come across. It is a slow vehicle to allow it to better handle these terrains, and quite heavy from all the equipment it must carry.
- Civilian: The Roughrider is not a combat vehicle in any way, and is armed with only a single sonic cannon to defend it from attacks, and minimal heavy armor. It must rely almost entirely on a small detachment of security units to protect it if it is assaulted.
The Roughrider vehicle is the first model of craft in the Foundations ground fleet designed to work away from the Urban environment. However, it is still geared towards the Foundations standard goals of urban construction and development. These vehicles were designed by Rycherd Alistair to be deployed in a remote region, and turn it into a urbanized sector. These vehicles are designed to work alone or in small groups for long periods of time, needing them to be able to stay in contact with far away sources, house all of its workers, repair its own equipment and store the small contingent of security droids it has to defend itself and its crew.
