Rough Landing

Things seemed to be going well between those on the ship, but as they were negotiating, Dion observed a young man [ [member="Raiyo Tatsuu"] ] run up looking anxious; shortly thereafter, Dion noticed the approaching thugs-- they were converging on the crashed spacecraft. This was it, things were about to get ugly. They had him surrounded, so he backed slowly towards the ship's loading ramp where the others were standing.

The uniformed man [ [member="Djark Slove"] ] shot first, filling one of the thug's chest with bright hot orange blaster holes; this, predictably, caused all the other thugs to bear down-- some charged with various melee weapons, while others focus-fired the group assembled around the spaceship's ramp with blaster-fire. Dion activated his personal energy shield, projecting a solid bubble of blue light around himself, and sprung backwards to cover [member="James Justice"] , deflecting any blaster bolts aimed at him or the Zeltron woman [ [member="Niyla Alura"] ] . The military man had taken cover with his subordinate and the young man, who was returning fire. Dion himself deftly removed two small spheres-- concussion grenades-- from his utility belt, and pitched them at a cluster of charging thugs, causing a pair of kinetic explosions to scatter their ranks, incapacitating a few of them while disorienting a few more. Continuing to deflect oncoming fire with his shield, which he was very conscious would only last a short time, Dion shouted over his shoulder to James and Niyla, "Take cover!"

The gang of thugs was cut short after Raiyo's companion, [member="Ashalah Ky"], came to the rescue, downing a couple of them.

"Great timing Azetha!" He yelled back at her.

Raiyo and [member="Djark Slove"] hid behind the crates, taking turns in shooting and covering for each other.
He spotted [member="Dion Kayl"] Slaughtering the poor unfortunate souls that came in his way, and Ash blasting her way trhough towards the stranded vessel.

[member="James Justice"] [member="Niyla Alura"]

Two more shots brought two more gang members down. Moving down the gangplank, Azetha slipped in behind the crates with [member="Raiyo Tatsuu"] and [member="Djark Slove"]. "What did you do now?" Azetha popped up occasionally from behind the crates to fire before ducking back down. Peeking back around, she eyed the crashed ship. She turned back to Raiyo with a glare. "You're fighting over that piece of junk?"

Rolling her eyes at his answer, she popped back up to fire. Her eyes darted to Djark before flicking back to Raiyo. "And who the hell is this?"

James turned just in time to see the barrage of blaster bolts hurling towards him--then Dion jumped in front of the barrage, his shield saving the spacer from certain death. He ducked for cover, grabbing his DeathHammer and beginning to fire from cover. Blasting away steadily--but not always accurately--James let his DeathHammer carve away at the enemy. Feth, how many gangsters were there?

James shot Niyla a sidelong look. He could also see a few more people getting involved, a female Tortuga and younger male human.

"Gangwars, me thinks," James spat as he answered [member="Djark Slove"], "I thinks we got in the middle of one."

He aimed at the last one from behind a stack of crates. The spacer had no chance in hell of hitting the man's small head from this distance. Eh, that wouldn't stop him. The spacer fired a few rounds through the box, shattering it and blasting a series of holes in the man's chest. Satisfied, he rose to his feet and approached the strangers.

"Thanks mates, I thinks we would have been goners if ye hadn't stepped in," he said with a friendly smile as he offered his hand, "Name's Captain James Justice, a pleasure to meet ye. If ye aren't working or tied to anything, I could always use the help of a few people with skills like ye around."

He would get to finishing the deal to save Chicka's hide again in a moment--if she needed more pressing attention, eh, he shrugged. She was a big Zeltron girl. She could handle herself.

Niyla pulled open her scabbard and with a hiss her slithering companion wrapped around her arms until he was solidified in her grip.

She glanced over to James Justice to see him as he made a deal with the officer whom had slightly embarrassed the female zeltron, at this Niyla rolled her eyes, muttering nonsense in foreign languages about the pirate. "You would." She said sarcastically, much to quiet for anybody but herself to here.

Niyla then chucked the amphistaff out at one of the straggling goons who was away from the larger majority, in response her amphibious friend shredded the poor man to pieces with his razor sharp skin. At the horrid sight the gang members behind ran off, which seemed to set a chain reaction as they all seemed to scatter into the spaceport.

With this Niyla happily nodded, she expressed a slight 'mmm' and stepped off of her ship into the sandy dunes. The girl had noticed during the fight a smaller group assisting her, she thought it would be nice to go thank them. However as she walked closer towards them she heard a slight clanking sound coming from inside the spaceport. With a quick glance the smuggler looked to the larger doors which seemed to be sized for sandcrawlers, the doors then flew open and a large robotic suit, no larger than a rancor had emerged.

The suit was adorned with large turrets and flamethrowers on each arm, it had multiple guns on it and even a few blades. The rusty metal was stacked upon a durasteel frame which seemed to be constantly repaired. On the shoulders and waist was more heavy layers of metal walls held on by ropes and wires.

In short: it was a gnarly contraption, and while the machinery didn't look very well constructed it did look like a wrecking ball of death.

Inside was a barely noticeable goon who was strapped into it well, the person inside must have had levers all around him. Niylas first thought was to take him out, though right as she thought this, quite ironically, a large panel fell over him and made that idea nearly impossible.

From the huge machine then came a holo image of a fat and ugly hutt seeming to be worse than the famous Jabba, the image cut off and on a few times before it became consistent, however the quality of the image was still quite bad.

"This is why you don't mess with da Reto hutta! You done karked up little smuggler!" It croaked along with a nasty array of cracked laughs and coughs.

The machine then stepped closer to Niyla. "Mhm...I am so sorry about raiding those shipments on Nar Shaddaa your honored lord hutt... I can pay you back in full! Realy...soon. I promise!" An amount of nervousness could be heard in her tone as she subconsciously stepped back. Lightning then slithered up her leg and found his way into her hands again as the holo imaged hutt spoke once more.

"I will sa not fall for that again girl! Kill her and take dat karking ship!" At this Niyla looked around nervously, she stepped closer to her ship and gripped her staff tightly.

"Yay..." She muttered sarcastically, the sound of steam erupting out of the machines exhaust causing her to jump.

Raiyo greeted [member="James Justice"] after the assault, making a small talk with him.

"No problem sir, seemed the right thing to do aye" He said, shaking James' hand.

Just as he wanted to continue on about the offer James did, something approached the gates.
The smell of oil and the sound of shaking metal came closer, and Raiyo saw [member="Niyla Alura"] slowly walk past them, concentrating in the sound that came from inside Mos Eisley.

"...Azetha, do you.. Do you have some ammo left?"

The entrance swung open, and an enormous mechanical beast slowly emerged from it; revealing it's deadly arsenal.
It projected a message directed to the Zeltron, who quickly made clear what this whole situation was about.

Raiyo turned his head, spotting [member="Dion Kayl"],[member="Djark Slove] and his subordinate tightly holding their weapons.
This wasn't over, far from it; shooting up some thugs was nothing compared to fighting a durasteel warmachine, and even with their amounts they would still be only on par with it... A concerning matter this was, Raiyo figured

[member="Ashalah Ky"]

"Captain," Azetha stepped up next to [member="Raiyo Tatsuu"], addressing [member="James Justice"]. "Don't mention it. And we'll keep that offer in mind." Glancing over at her companion, she gave him a little wink. However, they weren't out of the woods yet. The pounding of metal brought Azetha back on high alert. Raiyo asked her about ammo and she checked her stock. She was running low. Spitting out a Huttese curse, her attention turned to the doors as they broke apart. A large mangle of metal and wires stepped through. When the hologram of the Hutt appeared, she tensed, a hand subconsciously going to Raiyo's arm.

Playing off her nerves, she gave his arm a reassuring squeeze. "I've faced worse," she chuckled as the message played. "Ok here's the plan," she took a step closer to the captain to get his attention. "You two, distract it and cover me." Giving her companion a quick clap on the arm, she moved around to flank the robot, staying in the cover of cargo crates.

"Azetha?" Dion asked in surprise as he deactivated his energy shield and knelt behind cover with the others-- he recognized the Torgrutan woman from The Angel's Den. She'd mentioned being from Tatooine, he recalled, so it wouldn't be surprising if she had business here, though now was no time to ask about that. Dion nodded a severe greeting at the young man [ [member="Raiyo Tatsuu"] ], impressed by his courage in this situation, "Nice shooting. Thanks for the help."

Now, a monstrous metal suit of armor was shambling towards them, and based on the Hutt-hologram, its pilot was intent on taking out the Zeltron woman and anyone else around the spaceship. Dion could tell that the Hutt's machine was a patchwork construct that was far more bark than bite, though its weapon systems posed a real threat to anyone who wasn't careful. It would be extremely tough to take down on his own, but luckily Azetha already had a plan, and she was prepared to flank the huge mech. Dion eagerly volunteered for the distraction: "I'll draw its attention," and moved out in the opposite direction of Azetha.

The cyborg's skeleton, tendons, and joints were artificially enhanced to grant him supernatural mobility, which he demonstrated as he sprung out from behind the cargo crates and charged at the mech monster-- when he hit the ground he sent up a cloud of dust in his wake and sprinted aside just as one of its machine guns blasted the spot where he'd been. Dion chucked a grenade at one of the mech's weapon arms, causing a loud explosion to ring against the machine's frame and mangle one of the gun's mechanisms (though Dion saw tiny repair droids quickly converge on the damaged spot). He activated his energy shield again and zagged towards the mech, shouting, "Bring it on you walking garbage-pile!"
