STRENGTHS

• The Unkilling Blade: When the blade passes quickly through the body, the nervous system is painlessly stunned and the individual is incapacitated in a manner similar to a stun weapon.
• Into the Light: The Light emitted by the Synthetic Ankarres heals all Light Adepts within a fifteen meter radius, including the wielder, at an accelerated rate, enabling even severe wounds to heal in at least twenty one minutes. However, it cannot bring a person back from the dead, and in some cases a mortally wounded individual may expire from their injuries before the Ankarres has a chance to heal them.
• Booster: The Synthetic Ankarres slightly boosts the strength of Light Side abilities within a fifteen meter radius, including the wielder.

WEAKNESSES

• Slugthrowers: The blade is as vulnerable to slugthrower ammo as any other lightsaber, resulting in potential splash damage from molten shrapnel if the slug strikes the blade.
• Weak Cut: The properties that render it unable to kill fortunately do not prevent it from cutting through conventional materials, but it takes double to triple the strikes to do so.
• Sonics: Sonics travel through the blades.
• Force Voids: Won't function in them.
• Paddle Beams: Paddle beams travel around the blade.
• No Deflect: It can absorb, but not deflect blaster bolts.

DESCRIPTION

"The Rose of Ashla." Starlin grinned as he watched her walk over to the display. "I should've known you'd go for that one." It had once belonged to a woman named Themis, an acquaintance of Syd's. Starlin never had the chance to get to know her properly. Now he supposed he never would.

"It calls to me from across a great distance. Its voice is faint, but I can still hear it," Isolda murmured, gently resting her palm against the transparent display case. "It seeks a new master."

The original Rose of Ashla was a lightsaber forged in ancient times by Darth Themis, a mysterious Force User. It eventually found its way into Starlin Rand's armory, as he held onto everything owned by his former master, Syd Celsius, after her sudden disappearance. There it was discovered by Isolda, who felt the call of the blade. Not wanting to risk damaging the original, Starlin permitted her to create a copy of the weapon, outfitting it with another Synthetic Ankarres obtained from the Serpents of Ashla.
