PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Roman has an average silhouette and frame while standing at a height of 6'0, his participation in brawling circuits had made his body more big, sharper, fitter and more defined all-around. Roman's body has a very balanced amount of bulk and definition. Roman has a 74-inch reach and femurs and a torso slightly on the longer side. Roman carries himself with a lot of confidence and stands and walks upright, and wears the same bunch of pilot jackets and rugged pants every time, and the same glasses. A single, flashy, ear piercing glints from his left ear, a cheap attempt at underworld flair. A faint scent of Corellian Ale and a knockoff version of the Essence of Zeltros can be noticed.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Roman is usually the calmest person in the room, he is a level-headed and charismatic showman with exceptional street-smarts as a Corellian. He is a man of logic and ambition, he has intense dedication towards elevating his personal life and becoming a self-made titan, he doesn't see crime as a moral choice but rather as a career option, and a very legitimate one. He values respect and order, preferring to outmaneuver any rivals using leverage and logic instead of senseless brutality. However, Roman isn't always the classical robotic, cold and calculating strategist, because, if anything or anyone he sees is getting in the way of something very important to him, he will often lose his mind and commit the senseless brutality he normally avoids, he can get angry despite knowing the costs, Ultimately, Roman is a man chasing a throne built on scrap and secrets, he treats his words as a bond and his business as a battlefield, relentlessly climbing toward a future where he is finally untouchable. Roman, still however, is at present most likely just one of many opportunists like him.

Roman treats his word as an ironclad bond, only when it aligns with his needs or long term survival, or his climb to the top. He understands that a reputation for reliability is a valuable and necessary currency in the underworld, meaning he will fiercely honor a contract most times, and even more so when it buys him leverage and loyalty. However, if a promise becomes a grave threat to his climb to the top, he will abandon it without a second thought.

STRENGTHS

1. Tactical Combat Pilot: Roman is a former CDF Pilot. Formally trained by the Corellian Defense Force, Roman possesses top-tier reflex handling, professional evasive flight maneuvers, and his deep sector and general navigation skills are highly above even the average or even some Elite Pilots due to his suspicious background. Includes some small-arms training.

2. Proficient Jury-Rigger and Mechanic: Roman has an innate, highly developed skill for mechanical engineering generally, specifically for Spacecraft. He can strip down starships, scrub Imperial tracking numbers, and modify thrusters etc. With enough luck, he can fix complex hyperdrives with very little materials, creating high-value illegal products for profit.

3. Roughneck Circuit Pugilist: Roman has solid punches, a solid body and power and lethality with his hands. Roman's style has some technicality and finesse into it, but not much. Roman treats/views his hands like loaded blasters and does not fight dirty when his life is not on the line, but rather he fights for pure physical domination over the opponent, like a bully. As a result of his fights in the circuits and his betting, he is not only an above average combatant when unarmed but also can read a fight well to know who to bet against and earn profit.

4. Street-smarts and Charm: Roman speaks the language of gangsters, civilians, and military brass alike. While it is all Galactic Basic, he seamlessly shifts his demeanor, sense of humor, and vocabulary to suit his audience. He maintains a calculated deference to authority despite his massive ego. He is a natural showman with excellent charisma; his psychological manipulation is also remarkably sharp from his days of being a Conman in the streets of Corellia.

WEAKNESSES

1. A fragile ego: Because he highly values respect, his calculated logic completely shatters if his reputation is openly insulted or if someone gets in the way of his personal ascension. When his pride is wounded, Roman's cool exterior gives way to an explosive, irrational temper and senseless brutality. This emotional volatility causes him to take highly unnecessary, dangerous risks just to prove a point, blinded to the long-term professional or physical costs.

2. Generally subpar marksman: Roman can still use guns effectively to kill at point-blank range, but when it comes to large weapons like Blaster Rifles etc. he can't properly use them and is poor at accurate and long-term firefights, lacking any real long-range accuracy with any weapon, he can still only land a lucky shot and that too must be in a very close range and visible to him and no difficulties and the target shouldn't be moving very fast.

3. Just a Human: Roman is only a human and has no cybernetics to enhance him, and a well-placed punch to the head can knock him out and a blaster shot to his exposed flesh is always lethal.

4. Compromised knee: Roman suffers from a chronic, structural knee injury—the result of a severe crash during his CDF piloting days compounded by years of taking heavy checked kicks in the underground brawling circuits. While his explosive power, lateral movement, and bracing strength remain highly intact during a stationary fistfight, his straight-line running speed is severely compromised. He cannot maintain a full sprint, lacks agility on uneven terrain, and his knee is prone to flaring up or locking under prolonged physical exertion, making it almost impossible for him to pursue a fleeing target or escape a collapsing environment on foot.

HISTORY

Early years (0-18): Born and raised in the industrial sectors of Corellia by Darrell and Amy Nicholas a middle class family, Roman Nicholas always possessed the raw physical gifts of a varsity athlete. Combined with a sharp, logical mind, he easily secured admission into the prestigious Corellian Defense Force (CDF) academy. While Roman consistently excelled in high-G flight simulators and tactical navigation, he barely skated through ground-combat firearm qualifications, cementing an early disdain for long-range blasters. He graduated into a squadron, spending the earlier times of his early twenties as a disciplined, tactically proficient combat pilot. Roman's mechanical aptitude was born long before he ever sat in a cockpit. Growing up in the shadow of his grandfather's scrapyard on Corellia, he spent his childhood surrounded by industrial wreckage, stripped engine blocks, and discarded hyperdrives. His grandfather taught him how to look at a pile of junk and see a working machine, forcing Roman to solve mechanical problems with mismatched components and zero budget. Later, the Corellian Defense Force academy refined these raw street-skills into professional expertise. As a pilot, he was trained in emergency field repairs—learning exactly how to reroute frying power grids, bypass busted shield generators, and hotwire sublight thrusters while trapped in a malfunctioning cockpit mid-dogfight. Combining his grandfather's back-alley resourcefulness with the military's strict engineering principles turned Roman into a master fabricator who can fix almost anything with a hydrospanner and sheer luck. Roman had an initial talent in engineering.

Early-20s (20-22): Roman's trajectory shattered when a powerful Corellian crime syndicate gained leverage over his family, threatening the industrial scrapyard owned by his aging grandfather. To protect the family, Roman became a military mole. For half a decade, he used his position within the CDF to leak patrol routes, falsify cargo manifests, and blind sensor grids to let smuggling vessels slip past planetary security. Outside the cockpit, he blew off the immense psychological stress of his double life by stepping into Corellia's brutal underground brawling circuits—earning a reputation as a lethal, calculating pugilist, but destroying his knee in the process. The math eventually caught up to him. When a massive shipment of stolen military-grade cybernetics went missing from a secure base, planetary authorities closed in. To shield their high-ranking handlers, the syndicate altered encrypted comm-logs and planted a trail of digital breadcrumbs that framed Roman as a rogue operator acting out of personal greed. Stripped of his rank and his official pilot's license, Roman took a dishonorable discharge and narrowly avoided a penal colony, left completely blacklisted from any legitimate corporate career.

Early-to-Mid-20s (23-26): With his military career dead, Roman retreated to the lower sectors to claim his grandfather's old property, transforming it into Nicholas Salvage & Co. He immediately used the yard as leverage to cut a deal with the very gang that framed him. Utilizing his master jury-rigging skills, Roman now strips down intercepted starships and modifies illegal parts for the cartel, while running a low-profile, legitimate tech-pawn shop in safe corporate territory to wash his credits. He is currently just one of many small-time opportunists clawing for survival, but his logical eyes are firmly set on a much larger empire.
