Long had it provided ships for the Confederacy of Independent Systems, gaining it a massive sum of wealth and and a semblance of economic dominance throughout CIS space, yet recent events involving the Count's new enemy the Omega Protectorate had proven that his company lacked sufficient means to defend itself and it's interests. The time had come for new measures that would ensure the Count could protect his business and persue his own goals.
Using a vast library of recovered Clone Wars-era CIS designs he had acquired over the years, Morcus hoped to build a mighty yet cheap and easily mass producible droid army and fleet to serve the Count as his own personal private armed forces. Under his command and through his financial backing the droid foundries and shipyards of Hypori, Geonosis and other Techno Union worlds set to work immediately in constructing his new army. The Count himself oversaw these efforts from the Command Bridge of his Lucrehulk-class Battleship ''The Pride of Serenno'' above the planet Hypori, patiently awaiting the arrival of his Confederate compatriots to demonstrate his new private defense force.
