DESCRIPTION
Ask a Knight of Iron if they are named for the the crystal in their blade, or their blade has that crystal because of them, and most will shrug. Solari and Rising Dawn are no different - she is to the blade as it is to her in personality. She only gained a name after she undertook her Padawan training in an ancient, shambling labour droid and found the rare crystal, as well as taking the time to forge the songsteel into the hilt casing. She was a more patient being back then, less familiar with sensations and a need for haste.

The rare Solari crystal within gives the blade the flickering golden-hued appearance of it's namesake and permits the twin blades to better parry incoming attacks due to it's additional coronal flare. It will also not stand to be wielded by anyone but a servant of the light - for reasons unknown, the blade will simply refuse to activate in the hands of a neutral or dark side Jedi.
