Rise of duelists (non-canon)

Haven Pryde

Pirate Queen | ODF Marine
Gathering the guts to do a complete showdown with a sith Haven walks toward the meeting rooms of the structure on mustafar, she decided to duel this time in the older droid manufacturing facility of the world and as she walks to get to their meeting point she calms her own mind and collects her own aura and energy to start fueling her body for the rush of a duel, she can already feel the rush of adrenaline and the throes of strength and battle preparedness raging through her own body while making her way to the meeting rooms of the old building where it will all begin.

The parade of thumps the mountain of muscle made would likely announce his arrival far sooner than sight would, Alaxander Croix was not the type of person to take introductions lightly, he wanted his enemy to feel the fear that would eventually kill them. Standing slightly over six feet tall and weighing in at nearly two hundred and thirty pounds Mortivious was a force to be reckoned with.

The duel had been arranged, both contesants wanted both a battle of the brawn and wit so they decided their battle would take place somewhere with a terrain as grueling as the actual battle would be. The apprentice knew little about his enemy, though that was due to lack of knowing how to access her files, Alaxander had never been introduced to the holonet as a kid thus he was still baffled by how vast and speedy it was. This lack of information would prove difficult no matter how toned and built Mortivious was.

He was nearing the woman, he could feel it with what little grasp of the force he had come to possess, he could feel her energies compiling in the air, he was like a tracking hound sniffing out a convict to be sentenced and executed, a convict who had escaped her fate long enough. It was a sense of power the apprentice hadn’t felt yet, he was finally seeing the benefits of his tutelage under the Force and before too long he would be putting those long lessons to the test.

It wasn’t too much longer before he happened across his victim, her pose as cocky as she likely was, she reeked of the same odor he came across when he employed pirates and gypsies on his craft, the stench of ambition burned his nostrils. “You must be Haven.” His words were simple, as were his intentions, he would kill this girl. He entered the room and stood with his lightsaber in his hand, unlit, waiting for her move. The apprentice was clad in his flowing black robes, and underneath he had a basic armor set to prevent minor injuries but yet still allow enough movement for combat. Atop his head was his typical ceremonial headdress, the menacing face staring his opponent down. “Your move, girl.”

Pirate Queen | ODF Marine
Haven was recently promoted to Knight by her faction and so therefor she was feeling very good this day and so she kept her posture up, she wore a pair of tight, form fitting leather pants with a pair of high heeled boots and a tiger striped corset tank top with a pair of fingerless studded gloves and as she stood here she did so with pride and dedication to her own craft and skills... she was raised to take the needs of others and conform them to her own needs, once she had conformed a smuggler to unwittingly engaging in romantic antics with her when she was a teenager, funny how it seems a mentalist never truly loses their most extreme and unique gifts and for haven hers just got more powerful over the years.

Haven stood here with a new purpose and a new title in hand, she always knew it would take time but she made it, a few years after starting her training as a Rogue Padawan she finally made it to Knight and finally found herself loving the decisions she made until now, she was so headstrong and rebellious, and for the most part still is..... she is also very intelligent but how did she get into a duel with a sith apprentice? well technically she dueled a sith knight as a padawan and won the duel so now this is even more strange since she is a Rogue Knight and set to duel one massive Sith Apprentice that looks as if he eats the weights instead of using them to bench press with.
haven stands here and as she does she smirks as soon as she hears his foot falls against the ground since it appears stealth and sublety is not his strong suit, she watches as his thunderous steps cause reverberations and quakes in the ground that he walks on, she recently had a date with an OP soldier and liked it but if he knew what would happen to his factions droid facility in the battle of haven and her opponent he would be so disappointed, and possibly would shit bricks if he knew the size of this opponent.

What seemed like forever which was most likely only a few minutes passing by finally was over when the mammoth of a sith arrived in front of her and then with his husky voice he called her "girl" and even made insinuations it was her move...fine let it be her move, just one step closer to the inevitable....look at this guy, was she supposed to be scared? because she wasn't...the bigger they are the easier they fall.

She began with a smirk and with a clean snap-hiss of her silver-pink blades and then stalked around him never taking her eyes off his, she then walked in close and quickly and powerfully swiped her blade in an arc and then swept it across his mid-torso trying to test his mettle.

Like a concrete wall of sheer dominance, Mortivious stood firm in his tracks, tightening the muscles in his legs into little rippling sierras of adrenaline and power. This fast held stance would soon be used to counter the flimsy strikes Haven would muster. A sibilant roar signaled the arrival of battle and a bloodthirsty red blade sprung to life from the hilt rested in his hand.

The next motion Alaxander would make would be to twirl his blade in his hand once and brace himself for impact, allowing him to use the speed the girl was running with against her in an attempt to push her back, thus not needing to block her second attack. Though cover his tracks he made sure his crimson blade was there to meet her own lightsaber if she happened to overpower Mortivious, and get the second attack through, however this was a situation where his size would be a positive thing.

The battle would take place in the span of a few minutes, but when it was between two Force users, no matter their level in expertise there was an added time to the battle, their bodies were able to understand things and react to things before their brain even knew how to comprehend what the threat was, like their instincts were somehow faster than ever imagined. This innate ability in all Force Users who knew how to access their powers allowed for battles to be very intense and fast.

@[member="Darth Mortivious"] (OOC: Sorry I forgot to ask if you mind that I was now a Knight since when this was first posted this character was a padawan.. due to site rules I need to make sure it's alright with you)

Haven found he was not only skilled but also trained in the art of saber dueling and as he twirled his saber in his hands she met his twirling and allowed the force to pool and flow through her, she met his twirling with those of his own and went directly into sweeping arcs with her twirls as she was attempting to best him at this game, her own mind focusing more on sensing where his attacks would be and where his defense would be rooted at she allowed for the force to flow through her like a raging ocean of chaos and uniformity and as she twirled her blades with sweeping arcs she made sure to keep an open mind on him so he couldn't easily get one up on her.

OOC: Sorry it took so long to reply!

Alaxander kept a pragmatic thought process, he knew he had to if he was going to best her. She came at him with the same attack style again, typical of someone smaller, they try to attack with speed and dexterity rather than strength and prowess. He batted her attacks away easy enough, he knew he had to make her more mad if he wanted to see the big guns, she was holding back, likely a strategic move, and right now Mortivious needed to break her strategy.

The single red blade twirled its way around the Sith’s hand like it had been there for ages, not because Mortivious was particularly good at using it but because he had trained in many different styles of combat while growing up and hand to hand swordplay was one of his favorites. He knew however that his opponent was more dangerous up close than far away so he had to find some way to get her back.

On the last series of arc attacks she unleashed, as soon as he blocked them, Mortivious shot his hand out and mustered the Force into a push, hoping to push her back. The droid room shook with energy, “You had your attack, now it’s my turn.” He started advancing on her, scarlet blade in hand…

She fel the push and smirked as she rooted herself and slid back about ten feet and then heard his exclamation and then waited with determination and respect, now the game would start getting interesting. She had just forced his hand to attack and if he hadn't found out yet he would soon that she is excellent with defense and sloppy with offense, she would end up finishing his moves here and soon.

As she waited she walked to the side glaring at him ready for his attack while walking around him with a defiant glare, her confidence rose to a peek and she smirked at him holding her blades in reverse shien readying herself to defend against his attacks.

Alaxander was exactly where he needed to be in a situation like this. He was able to bide his time and block attacks just fine, but it was when he was unleashing the fury of his blade that he truly shined. He readied his hands for combat, blocking his attack would be easy enough when you were wielding two lightsabers, so the buff Sith Apprentice would have to use something else besides just the sheer might behind each of his gargantuan swings.

Light metallic boots made clicking noises, ominous in nature given the otherwise silent atmosphere this droid facility was providing. He was slowly advancing on the girl, she was circling him and so he circle too, never allowing his back to her, slowly inching closer and drawing near his plan to finish this battle. It would be any moment now that he would unleash his plan, she just needed to line up perfectly.

It was only a few moments later that everything clicked, the only signal he gave was his ominous hot breath bearing the sound of death upon his lips. “Your style is sloppy.” A sinister grin enveloped his face, and his arm shot out to rip two droids passing by overhead off of the line, hurdeling them toward the woman, but of course this was the ruse to draw her attention. When he was finished with that he closed the remaining five or so feet with a massive jump strike, closing in on her fast.

His blade extended into the air above his head as though he were to smite her then and there, but he knew she would most likely be blocking this attack so to follow up the very strong force behind the jump strike, on his way back down to the ground Mortivious gave himself a quick spin, using the inertia from that to get a second attack in, bringing the saber around and attempting to take her out at her midsection in a sweeping fashion from her right shoulder to her left hip.
