Mek-Sha Station, Brzo's Wells
Objective: Bodyguard detail

Standing outside a door to the left flank Minerva fully clad in her gear had to fight back a sigh. She didn't get much less sleep last night but work is work. Behind the door the mercenary heard several people laughing. Including her client, a newly arrived Sullustan merchant trying his luck with gambling scene. On the opposite end was a mostly cloaked Kaleesh.

For the past hour they were guarding this spot while their employers enjoyed themselves with other associates. Not the most glorious job for a warrior but it is more honest work than being an enforcer for Mek Sha's numerous gangs that festered the station. Still all the same Minerva hoped the game would end soon.

The silence was tense to say the least as she and the Kaleesh didn't engage in any small talk throughout this assignment. Outside from a broken window they could hear speeder's engines and Bith jazz playing on speakers with hundreds of voices sounding in the daily haggling below. Arms over the chest she stared aimlessly at the opposite wall with its decaying features on display.

Subsequently she and the other mercenary hear a sequel nearby from the other end on the far right. Kriffing womp rat. Minerva concluded to herself. Bored out of her wits she nevertheless stayed at the post, not even looking at her counterpart. Little did the young Mandalorian realize it would be more interesting than anticipated.

Rustbuckets will never go out of style.
Leenic crouched low on the balcony he was sitting on, his NT-242 resting on its bipod as he scanned the surrounding area with the powerful scope attached to it. "Karabast." He muttered, his target had yet to stick his head outside all day...if he was even still here. Then, without pulling his eye away from the scope, he activated the bounty puck and gazed over the target's face again to be sure he hadnt missed him.

He was a human, tan skinned with a small beard and bald head. Record on the bounty puck said he was a popular gang leader in the area and was notorious for several riots, gang takeovers, and enforcer shootouts over the past few years. Relatively young and short, he shouldnt be that hard to miss for anyone worth their salt.

And yet here Leenic was, about four hours into his time here and still not a single glimpse of him from anywhere.

Objective: Guard detail

Initially everything would seem normal to Leenic's view. Vendors at their stalls and would-be customers discussed business in multiple voices, tones and languages that one could barely hear themselves think in their midst. Others passed by in one direction or another throughout the market. For a hired blaster like Leenic nothing would seem out of the ordinary. Soon however, the chaotic symphony of commerce was interrupted by the collective whine of speeder engines from one side.

Many stopped and looked to the eastern side, spotting two speeders each, more than a dozen heavily armed gangsters, and several on swoop spikes flanking the larger vehicles. They all wore white paint on themselves or their outfits, being known as the Pale Stars. Quickly many in the crowd dispersed out of the way, not wanting any trouble. However, from within the market came Twi'lek thugs in various makeshift gear, armed to the teeth as well.

The blue skinned Twi'lek came up in front with a scowl, wielding a scatter gun. Just as she was demanding an answer when suddenly a blaster bolt struck her square in the forehead. The shot from the leading speeder and it was Leenic's target. As soon as the Twi'lek dropped dead her fellow members swifty opened fire in retaliation and returned in kind by the invaders.

Bystanders screamed and scattered in all directions as many Pale Stars jumped out of the vehicles, blasting toward their hated rivals. Soon several of them and Twi'leks rushed at one another with melee weapons, clashing in a vicious brawl.

Minerva was mentally counting to a hundred for the second time when she heard the blaster-fire and the subsequent screams. Only then did she share a look with the Kaleesh guard. Drawing her pistol she cautiously crept toward the shattered window. From her vantage point she saw the carnage enfolding below.

A stray bolt flew overhead, narrowly missing her helmet. Ducking down Minerva thought. This won‘t be a boring detail. Rushing back to the doorway with the other bodyguard who had readied his own rifle the Mandalorian whispered.

"Looks like I'll be really earning my credits tonight.”
