Ring of Fire (Tutaminis class)

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
The jedi master stretched her arms out, when she had asked what training was lacking.. this seemed to be one of them and that confused her in some cases. So many said they were masters of it but they wouldn't teach the next generation the skills.... so she would have to work on that and rolled her shoulders. She could teach those who wanted to learn tutaminis techniques for it... plus it might help spme of them save their own life or a friend.

The jedi master stood with her hair pulled back in a tight ponytail going down her back. With the tips covered in small crystal caps, the force crystal bells delicately strung throughout it so when she moved they sounded lightly. Her pale skin scented with some of the lighter oils that had been worked on and processed. Her robes were the guardian robes with silver sash and jedi runes using the force enhancing lifeblood. Synthetic lightside blood that was designed to give jedi equipment their own magics.

Her wooden pltform shoes made her a little taller though with her sabers on her hip, an artisan slip case in her sleeve as well as the chevron and metal bands. The force crystals she could use to enhance and create force batteries with the skill itself was soemthing to show. A prize for those within the glass they could make their own force batteries for the field or when they want to do something.

Sukai had trained with force shielding and a little bit of Tutaminis before but had yet to properly understand the latter of the two. Shielding was simple, make a force barrier to stop projectiles, but Tutaminis was more complicated. From what she had seen most people do it more or less involved transferring the energy of a strike through and around your body and out another side. She remembered some stories about a Sith using it to fuel force a force lighting attack.

The now reasonably experienced knight slowly made her way through the white shining halls of the silver rest, coming into the training are that [member="Matsu Ike"] had designated as the lesson area. Seemed she was the first one here, quite the nice prospect, how knew, perhaps she'd be the only student to show proper interest in such a skill, even if her reasons were a little bit ulterior. Sukai needed any for of protection she could find to help keep the whole vampire story secret. To many times had she been hurt and hade to fake injury, even though her vampire powers would quickly heal said wounds.

"Hello there master Ike, I am here for your lesson on Tutaminis".

Tutaminis was a technique that Reggie wanted to learn, especially since it could be used for a variety of different situations, but never had the chance to learn the technique. This would change today. He wouldn't miss this opportunity to learn more and improve his skills.

When he arrived, he saw that there were two people in the area. Reggie greeted [member="Sky'ito Yumi"], and then turned to face [member="Matsu Ike"]. He bowed in greeting to the Jedi Master.

"Master. I'm here to learn from your lessons if you'll allow me."

Reggie hasn't been properly introduced to the Jedi Master, so he made sure he was respectful and restricted his talkative nature for now.

Quietly arriving at the small training area, Allyson looked around. As usual she stuck out like a sore thumb – with her refusal of wearing the Jedi “pajamas” she liked to call them. There were a couple of students around and the Corellian padawan walked in and stared at the small Master. From the tales she had heard about [member="Matsu Ike"] she figured the woman to be taller, but she commanded the room without fail. A smile spread as she bowed slightly to the master.

“I’m quite interested in this skill, Master Ike. I look forward to your class. I’m Allyson.” After the small introduction, Allyson decided to fall back into ranks and wait for the class to start. Arms crossed over her chest as she played with the thin necklace that hung around her neck. The woman had a general idea of what tutaminis was, but she had only recently begun to accept her place within the Force.

Such an odd feeling.

With some free time on her hands, the pilot commander decided to take advantage of the instruction offered at the Silver Rest and enroll herself into a course on tutaminis.

Energy absorption and manipulation. It was something she had dabbled with in the past, but nothing she had really tried to master with any proficiency when had previously been focused on her military career. However, with all the weird thing she had been encountering since her transfer to Onyx Squadron, it may have done her well to brush up on a handy technique.

Much to her surprise on her arrival to the class, she saw that she wasn't the only person present from Onyx squadron. It was her very own XO.

"Well then, small world," she called out to Allyson as she walked up to the group. "Is this what has been keeping you occupied?"

The Corellian was often on long absences from the squadron for reasons for special assignments. More recently, it was for command school. Aubrey imagined that the Corellian wouldn't be with Onyx much longer.

As Allyson thought quietly, a familiar voice called out to her. Blinking quickly, she looked over in the direction of the sound and smiled widely. Onyx Squad had been her home away from home and she saluted the Commander of the squad as she wandered over. Nodding, Allyson relaxed. “Yeah quite small, surprised I don’t see you more often.”

The woman questioned what had been keeping the XO so busy, a part of Allyson felt the guilt of it all. She had come over from Rogue Squadron and placed into Onyx to be their XO. The Corellian nodded, “Some of this and I’m sure you heard that they threw me into Command School. It’s weird, I miss being in the cockpit of a fighter.” Allyson missed being with Onyx, between her missions with the Shadows and now learning to Command – she rarely got to do anything with them.

“Hmm after this if you’re down lunch and then some sims?”

The jedi master took a moment to look at the four who came in. Again she noted one of the things about the Silver Jedi order.... they had a lot of females to males. A different thing not really bad but clasping her hands behind her back the jedi master moved and bowed to each greeting them as she left the doors opened. "Welcome each of you and thank you for taking some interest in this." She gave a smile, soft and looked up at them even with the shoes she was still smaller in stature and frame.

"If anyone comes late they can join us but we'll get started first and foremost with what the skill is. Tutaminis is part of a jedi's teaching, learning how to absorb and redirect energy throughout the body within your control. Some of the greatest users of the technique could channel explosions and turbolasers... I don't expect this of you.... but being able to if you are attacked stop a blaster bolt or strike from a lightsaber. This will do."

SHe was watchign them though and motioned for the four to come in a little closer but mostly so she could show her hand to them. Focusing on it and letting blue fire appear, energy washing over her hand. Swirling, cascading and going where her fingers were. Then she moved her hand while it followed and stayed on. "The first step is to understand, tutaminis was about directing and absorbing energy cast off. We'll start with learning hwo to channel it and then break off into pairs."

Reggie took notice of the two new arrivals and assumed that they knew one another. This was the first time he had seen either of them, so he had the urge to introduce himself to them. Introductions would have to wait though. The class was about to begin and his focus was now undivided.

He took a few steps closer to the Jedi Master when she motioned to them and was pleasantly surprised by the blue energy as it followed her hand. There was a sparkle in Reggie's eyes and the smile on his face made, the excitement he had being quite visible. He was eager to learn and use the skill.

Sukai gave a wave to [member="Reggie Faayare"] as they entered the room, his presence being very come and go, but a familiar face that was always nice to see. The other members were also familiar to some extent, [member="Allyson Locke"] being quite the famed pilot while [member="Aubrey King"] she had seen a few times and knew by face. Not that she had talked to either of them before, each seeming to be in their own select group of friends and training partners.

Turning attention back to [member="Matsu Ike"] her ears were kept open for the lesson ahead, understanding the basics easily, Jair being one to pass that on a while ago. Watching closely her eyes tracked the flame across her hand, a but of excitement welling up inside at the rather interesting display, simple yet fancy. "Master, does this have minor relation to things like force lighting? or is that a different utilization of the force"?

Hearing the chatter of voices, Raven was ever so quiet as she entered the room; a place that she hadn't been in for a while longer that she'd even want to admit to herself. The last training session that she had attended, she put a crater in the floor. Her anxiety welled up at the embarrassing thought of not being able to completely control her abilities past moving objects and herself. She stayed towards the back of the room, trying to make herself as invisible as possible though she well knew that she had most likely been detected before she even stepped in. Something else that she would have to work on.

So much to work on...

For now, she stifled her endless wave of thoughts and attempted to focus on what was being said before her.

She listened and raised an eyebrow to Sukai when she asked if it was like lightning. "No it is not, this is a technique for absorbing the power from lightning yes, it can absorb energy from a lightsaber and convert it but tutaminis is primrily for the jedi to protect themselves. From blasters that are used against them to explosions. You can take the energy in when you are struck with heat, electrical and even force energies when you are strong enough. We have many meas to practice and train the skill though and learning it as a means to refresh your mind and body in a fight can mean the difference between life and death."

Hearing that the ability could refresh the mind and body made Reggie think more about the possibilities the technique could be used for. In particular, he was wondering if it could heal wounds that were sustained in battle.

"Since the technique can refresh the mind and body in battle, does that mean it can heal minor wounds that a person may have acquired during a battle?"

Reggie didn't know if this was a stupid question or not, but that didn't concern him. He was curious, and he wanted to know for sure.

She gave a short nod to Matus as she explained more thoroughly into how the power worked, for the moment content with what she had said. While waiting for more explanation she turned to Reggie who proposed quiet a interesting prospect.

It seemed interesting though she was unsure if it could heal woulds, maybe deal with inflammation, swelling and headache but closing up wounds or getting rid of toxins. "Maybe that is something you can test out upon leaning said skill" she replied in a slightly sarcastic tone".

She was looking at them and spoke. "Yes and no, the way you might be thinking padawan is harder and would require absorbing a lot of energy. Something you will rarely do or have the chance and time to do. If you were skilled enough to catch and hold a lightsaber you might be able to but that would take a great deal of your focus and concentration to maintain it but you might not be able to heal." She said it and was loking at the group of them until she grinned. "So who wants to try out the skill?"

It took a lot of courage, putting herself out into the forefront as she was about to. She was already nervous around groups of people to begin with, especially those whom she weren't too close or even relatively comfortable with. But, timidly from the back of the room, she raised her hand, and spoke just loud enough to be heard. She tilted her head downwards as she raised her hand, hiding her face in a meekly, non-effective attempt.

"I-I'll... I'll try it."

She regretted her decision immediately, as she expected to be noticed, which was her plan, but not what she really wanted. She would have been fine if nobody were to notice her. She also regretted her decision because of her lack of control or even understanding of any of the Force or any amount of energy she possessed. The memory of her putting a crater into the floor resurfaced in her mind again, making her even more nervous.

THe jedi master looked at the one girl who had spoken up. She seemed timid but this was a big thing that could be done now... they could try and help her where she might be going. "THank you Raven." THe jedi master offered a smile on her face stepping over to her while motioning for her to come and join her within the circle. "It won't hurt too much, maybe a pinch if you fail but that is why we learn like this." THe jedi master held one hand out as she clenched and brought it forward making a golden orb as a glowball when she put it. "Now hold your hands out and focus on yourself. Allow yourself to feel the force around you and pull at it, drink it all in and we'll let you absorb some light first."

Sukai gave a small clap to [member="Raven Sorenova"] as she got up to test her skill in the use of Tutaminis. She seemed nervous, Sukai almost able to smell the fear from the woman as she got up to do her own test of the force powers, Matus explaining what would happen if she failed. At the very least the small demonstration would serve as a small refresher for Sukai, she had not really needed to use this power in battle yet. "Break a leg Raven" she called on, trying to encourage the girl.
